Dear All,

a few days ago there was an interesting programme on TV about place

names and relationship with ones fortunes.

Lately some of Indian cities' names have been changed e.g. Madras

became Chennai, Bombay became Mumbai, Calcutta was renamed Kolkata and

Now Bangalore will be changed to Bengaluru.

It was suggested that ever since Madras became Chennai its fortunes

have changed and it has faced many problems like Tsunami and flooding

etc.

Also it was said that peoples rashi if it does not match with the

place name, then residing in such a place would not be advantageous.

What are your views on the subject Do you to these views?

Regards,

Neena

Dear Neena,

You're absolutely correct! Changing the name of a City, Country, or

a business, or of a person produces a new chart. In the case of a

person, the birth chart remains the primary one of course, but the

new (name) chart should also be read in conjunction. I often wish I

had known what I know now before I married this last time...I would

certainly have chosen a more auspicious time :-)

If we had the date/time when these new (city) names were implemented

we could study these charts in light of the tsunami etc..

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Dear neena,

Change of names may effect fortunes of political fortunes of the parties in

rule.where as the people residing by birth have no relation these temporal

changes.During evolution these names for places must have undergone lot of

changes which never impact on the fortunes of the place nor people born

around. These are mere alphabets.may be in numerology one would like to find some

meaning not in jyotish.

Dear Mrs Wendy ji,

As part of mundane astrology the significance given to name a country, region

and the fate of the leaders change if it involves only if the longittudes and

lattitudes change. For Ex:GDR ,seperation and unification are based on the

original name but not any other issue.Likewise formation of Bangaladesh, has not

undergone much change as it was earlier East Pakistan.

Names now revised and being accepted in the context of neena's discussion were

the names which are in vogue in litteral sense and even in local languages are

also written so.Officially not amended. Now amendments are now being made in tune

with the wish of people.

Krishnan,

Well then, perhaps I should scrap the Zimbabwe chart altogether,

shouldn't I... No change in longitude or latitude, only change in

name from Rhodesia to Zimbabwe.

Hmmm... guess I'd better write back to my friend (in Zimbabwe) and

tell her to disregard the chart I sent her...seems a bit of a pity

though as it correctly predicts the troubles that have befallen that

beautiful country.

She Wrote:

>>I actualy found your

original chart on Zim the other day while I was looking for other

things but can

I heck find a date on it other than of course 18/4/80 But I rekon it

must be at

least 5/6 years old & my goodness is it correct .<<

For those interested the chart for Zimbabwe and the one for Rhodesia

(UDI) are given below.

Rhodesia (UDI)

Nov 11 1965 (13:00)

Salisbury, Rhodesia

(now known as Harare, Zimbabwe)

Zimbabwe (Independence)

Apr 18 1980 (00:00)

Harare, Zimbabwe

The chart for Bangladesh is also widely used by astrologers,

although you say, Krishnan, that such a chart is not valid because

it was formally known as East Pakistan?? Your reasoning baffles

me...

We also find in ancient texts that a change of name blesses one with

a new horoscope...the story of Abraham who was instructed to change

his wife's name in order for her to conceive a child is a well-known

example...there are other examples. This is practiced still today in

Kabbalistic astrology.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy
