Dear Rajesh,

There's not much point giving an elaborate response if the advice is

not adhered to. Why on earth would you consider wearing a blue

sapphire??

I've explained to you that Saturn is a functional malefic for Aries

lagna... A functional malefic means that he has the ability to do

harm. It's been explained that his aspect on Moon, Jupiter and

lagnesh Mars is causing a lot of difficulties for you and here you

are saying you're going to increase his influence on these vital

planets...why?

The first rule of thumb is never to wear gems for functional

malefics as they can be harmful! And the first rule of thumb for

astrologers is never to do harm!

My advice to wear Ruby for 5th lord Sun and to propitiate Saturn

with mrtyunjaya mantra remains the same. I would also advise you to

be very cautious buying gems. It's important to seek out reputable

dealers who are committed to selling jyotish quality gems. The

following link is one that I know of - there are others and it would

pay you to search them out.

Wearing a flawed gem will bring you more harm than good.

In the "Garuda Puranam," chap. 68, verse 17 it is stated by Sri Suta

Goswami,

"Pure, flawless gems have auspicious powers which can protect one

from demons, snakes, poisons, diseases, sinful reactions, and other

dangers, while flawed stones have the opposite affect."

And from the ancient "Agni Puranam" chap. 246, slokas 7 & 8:

"A gem free from all impurities and radiating its characteristic

internal luster should be looked upon as an escort of good luck; A

gem which is cracked, fissured, devoid of luster, or appearing rough

or sandy, should not be used at all."

And again in the chapters of Sri Garuda Puranam, we find this quote

on rubies by Sri Suta Goswami,

"A ruby, although genuine, should not be worn if it has strong color

banding, excessive inclusions within like numerous internal cracks,

a sandy appearance, a rough surface, or is dull and lusterless.

Anyone using such a flawed ruby, even out of ignorance, will suffer

from disease, or loss of fortune."

This information is given on JyotishVidya.com:

For you, 5th lord Sun, debilitated in 7th house, is conjunct 6th

lord Mercury whilst his dispositor has gone to 8th house. We know

the difficulties you're facing regarding your son and the role your

spouse has played in this.. But of course you're free to do as you

choose.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Re: Shrapit Yoga(saturn and rahu), I have

in my charts

Dear Wendy:

Thanks for taking time in writing an elaborate response (as you

always do!!, thanks a million, once again).

Regarding GEM advise about Ruby (for delibitated sun in 7th house),

I am going to wear yellow sapphire (next month,.. it is coming from

India) and a blue sapphire (a very small piece for Saturn .. for job

career, gain purposes). Tell me, if i am wrong; I cannot wear Blue

sapphire with ruby and Coral. So, it is RUBY+CORAL OR BLUE Sapphire;

along with yellow sapphire.

I AM ALSO REQUESTING other learned members, to let me know, if

wearing blue sapphire +YELLOW-sapphire could be hazardous. In that

case, I would switch to RUBY+CORAL+YELLOW-SAPPHIRE combination.

thanks once again.

PS:

Let me explain a little more about the effect of Saturn's aspects in

your chart. As we know Saturn is a functional malefic for Aries

lagna due to his lordship of 11th (trishadaya) house...his

moolatrikona house.

The tri-shadaya houses are 3, 6, 11.

Parashara tells us that any planet owning the 3rd, 6th or 11th will

give evil effects - the logic being, I assume, that these houses are

12th, 2nd and 8th respectively from the houses of mind (4th and

5th).

Now, when we consider (in your chart) Saturn's aspect on both Moon,

karaka for 4th; and Jupiter, karaka for 5th, it's difficult to

understand how anyone could recommend a blue sapphire for you?
