You are very welcome.

Please tell your friend she is very young to have lost hope and sometimes in

life I know it is

like everything seems to go wrong but she will see things start to look on the

bright side

eventually. She has a strong benefic and helpful Jupiter, which will come to

help her at the RIGHT

Dear Rui and JK,

For the native in question, 9th lord Moon (mind) is debilitated in

lagna and aspected by F/M Saturn; In fact Moon, Lagna lord and lagna

lord's dispositor are all afflicted by Saturn. Hence the difficulty

for this native to remain hopeful (optomistic) in times of trouble.

Not only does "optimism" help us to look positively towards the

future, it is also a tremendous antidote for any ailment...this is

why Jupiter, the planet of optimism, is so highly praised when in

kendra from Lagna or Moon.

As 5th lord (in this chart) his aspect could be beneficial for the

native's mental outlook, however he makes no aspect to any other

planet in this chart...we also have to consider his moolatrikona

position in 2nd from Lagna/Moon and 8th from lagnesh lord and his

dispositor etc..

In regards to health, we need to (again) consider Mars as lord of

1st (self/body) and 6th (disease) afflicted by Saturn whilst karaka

for 1st (Sun) is conjunct 8th lord Mercury. What Saturn brings is

generally long lasting in nature and, as we know, diabetes is a

long-lasting disease.

But these diseases can be managed medically...I too am diabetic (as

well as having chronic heart and kidney disease). My twin sister has

been insulin dependant since her early 20's (she's now 62) and, like

your friend, she has (amongst other indications) afflicted Venus

aspecting lagna...I have afflicted Venus in 8th (as well as other

indications). However I, and many others who suffer some chronic

illness, are able to get on with life and cope with the conditions

we find ourselves in. This can be put down to many things but first

and foremost is (in my sister's and my charts at least) the

beneficence of exalted Gajakesari Jupiter giving an optimistic

outlook on life.

Of course I'm not, for one moment, trying to minimise the distress

your friend is experiencing...just making the point that with an

optimistic outlook we can cope with most adverse conditions.

Diabetes is governed (primarily) by Venus whilst Moon governs glands

and ovaries (if I'm not mistaken). Internal reproductive organs are

denoted by 7th house and/or Libra which governs the space below

navel (basti area). So I think we can see without too much trouble

the planetary afflictions that are creating these problems for your

friend.

If we look at the Shashtamsha divisional (1/6 Disease), we see that

(natal) lagnesh Mars is conjunct (natal) 8th lord Mercury in

Sagittarius and Moon occupies Pisces, whilst Jupiter has gone to 8th

house. As we know Jupiter, a strong "kapha" planet, can also

contribute to diabetes...generally type 11 (through improper intake

of food...note in Rasi, Jupiter owns and occupies 2nd house). One

might also consider varshaphal (yearly chart) where Taurus rises

with Venus conjunct Munthesh Sun and Mercury in sign of

Jupiter....Jupiter afflicted by Ketu in sign of Mercury and Moon

inimicably placed in sign of Saturn etc..

In my opinion your friend would benefit (during this bhukti of

afflicted Moon) from the recitation of Moon mantra...see here
