Guest guest Posted November 4, 2005 Report Share Posted November 4, 2005 PS: It's my hope that, on this list at least, members are encouraged to learn the basics sufficiently well to be able to read their own charts, rather than just seeking a reading and then going on their way...which seems to be the norm on many other lists. As the saying goes, it's good to give a thirsty man a drink of water, but far better to give him the means to build his own well. With this in mind, a little information regarding birth of children. Scripture states the 1st child is to be seen from 5th, 2nd child from 5th therefrom (9th) and so forth. However, after studying numerous family charts I'm confident that this applies to the "generations" of children i.e. 1st generation (children) from 5th, 2nd generation (grandchildren) from 9th and 3rd generation (great-grandchildren) from 1st.... For myself, a third generation was born today at the commencement of Ketu pratyantar dasa...Ketu occupying 1st house, in nakshatra of Shravana (ruled by Moon - dispositor of Jupiter), and transiting 9th house of auspicious events in nakshatra of Hasta (again, ruled by Moon etc..) For subsequent children (in same generation) I believe it's more appropriate to consider 3rd from 5th...brothers of children. Members might like to study their own family charts and offer their findings for the benefit of all.
