Guest guest
Dear All, Are there 8 chara karakas or 7 chara karakas ( ie atmakaraka, amatyakaraka etc). Can rahu be considered as one of the karakas. If so whether it should be considerred on the basis of the least degrees traversed or max degrees traversed as rahu is always retrograde. Guest guest
Dear Shri Nilesh, As per Vedic Astrology an Integrated Approach by P.V.R Narasimha Rao, Chara karakas are 8 in number and which includes Rahu. Following the examples given in the book Rahu could become the AK depending on its advancement from the end of its Rasi. Examples are given in pages 67 and 68 of the book. On the other hand Shri K. N. Rao in his book, Jaimini's Chara Dasa advocates the use of 7 chara karakas where he excludes Rahu. Guest guest
Dear All members, Namaskar I am new member to this forum and watching the discussion for few weeks. I am old student of ICAS, Shri K N Rao is advocating for seven Char karakas which he has explained in his book and also once in our dissusion group. My Jyotish Guru Shri Satish Sharma also supports the same by comparing 7 karaks with first seven Bhavas of Natal chart. i.e. 1st bhava represent Atmakarak, 2nd bhava rep amatyakarak, 3rd bhava rep Bhatrakarak 4th --> Matrakarak\pitrakarak 5th ----> Putrakatak. 6th ---> Gyatikarak 7th ----> Darakarak. which seems to be very logical. Shri Sanjay Rath, Shri P.V.R Narasimha Rao and many others are using nearly the original approach (as available today which is far less number of sutras than original ) given by Rishi Shri Jamine in granth Jamine Sutras. I am working on their approaches also as it cannot be denied straightaway. Though both the groups are using the same sutras in many different ways and claiming the same results of the chart. It has created a lot of confusion for many students of astrology including mine. My Jamine Sutras teacher Shri Shakti Mohan Singhvi says to use both techniques and decide by yourself (we are in experimental yug). Best Regards. Vijay Goel. Guest guest
Charakaraks are 7 only. But by exception one can also add rahu as 8th charakarak.whet ever may be the approach,it is important from results point of view that final conclusions based on sutras have to tally.it is evident that we opt for 8th only when longitudes of the two planets become identical, then rahu can be chosen krishnan Vijay Goel <goyalvj wrote: Dear All members, Namaskar I am new member to this forum and watching the discussion for few weeks. Guest guest
Dear All, Thanks for your reply. Guest guest
Dear Nilesh ji, There is no special significance for putrakaraka. In case we go by chrakaraks,we opt Rahu to stand by and provide putrakaraka.otherwise as in Parasara system, seven karakas has significant implication with reference to bhavas and houses.Yet if majority in classical, the eight karakas as under holds good: Jupiter | 27Sc43 Atmakaraka Mercury | 19Sc37 Amatya Karak Venus | 10Cp53 Bhatrukarak Sun | 10Sg53 Matrukaraka Saturn | 07Ta15R pitru karaka Mars | 06Pi33 putrakaraka Moon | 03Ar41 Gnatikaraka Rahu | 12Cp10 Drakaraka(also considered as natural karak for wife). The degrees of rahu have no relevance as a node otherwise he could be bhatrukaraka krishnan nilesh joshi <niljoshi27 wrote: Dear All, Thanks for your reply.
