Guest guest
Dear Wendy ji and Vattem Krishnan ji, Regarding my dad's illness, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that he is recovering steadily, but the bad news is that the hospital bills are adding up to a hefty amount. Soon, Guru will enter my dad's 11th house. He will also start running Budha Antar in October. Guru in the 11th indicates gains, while Budha rules the 8th [unearned wealth] and 11th [wealth]. If my dad applies to SBI, from where he retired, will he get money for treatment? I would be happy if Wendy ji could study the birth chart and if Vattem Krishnan ji could cast a Prashna Chart to see if this will work out. Many thanks to both of you in advance! ~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan * http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm Author, Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs Editor, The Partial Art of Detection ~~~~~~~
Guest guest
Dear Balaji, The worries and concerns regarding health (as well as finances) are understandable given the influences in your father's chart at this time. If you recall what was said earlier i.e; >>Ketu is a very unpredictable planet as you know...problems can unexpectedly appear, disappear and reappear again and again...intermittent!<< Pratyantar lord Saturn, dispositor of Ketu, occupies 8th house in constellation of Rahu. 8th, as you know governs (amongst other things) long-term illnesses as well as money from insurance (medical or other) and so forth. Presently Rahu (dasa lord and star lord of Saturn) is transiting sign of Jupiter whilst his dispositor conjuncts Ketu in 11th...also 8th lord Mercury is currently afflicted in same house. So we see that, in spite of the fact that you're an astrologer, still there's worries and concerns for yourself and your father. This is a difficult transit, exacerbated no doubt by Saturn transiting 8th from Moon and 12th from 8th lord. Guest guest
Dear Bala ji, Prashna lagna from point of view finance rising in jeeva of prsna lagna indicates help from known people and particularly kith and kin. Arudha lagna is dual sign and watery in nature.where as chatra lagna is afiery sign of leo.Thes positions indicate finnaces come slowly. Some how the position and situation will be tied over through your own finace partially.May be chances from father's office may not be of immediate use.further position is reflected by Rahu in 11th in pisces. >From father position a liittle better situation but for 11th lord association with moon in 6th.Rohini of taurus and mrigasira in 122th is not good for finances. I have sent details to mrs wendy and relatives of your father will also find occassion to support. with all best wishes krishnan Wendy Vasicek <jyotish wrote: Dear Balaji, The worries and concerns regarding health (as well as finances) are understandable given the influences in your father's chart at this time. Guest guest
Dear Wendy ji and Vattem Krishnan ji, Many thanks for the inputs! I just got a call from my dad saying that he is to be discharged today. While the doctors have done their bit at the physical level, both your readings have bolstered me at a mental level. ~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan * http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm Author, Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs Editor, The Partial Art of Detection ~~~~~~~
Guest guest
Dear Balaji, That is good to hear. However I must say that all I did (or tried to do) was point to the influences, as I see them, that are governing your father's life at this time, so that, hopefully, you could come to your own conclusions... :-) I avoid making any "predictions" these days as the older I get the more aware I am of the power of suggestion and the impact our words can have on others...for better or worse! I realise more and more that what's destined to be will be, regardless of whether we have foreknowledge or not. I've also come to believe that, although certain remedies (mantras) can be a powerful tool to turn our attention inward, and, fostering inner stability, can help us weather the storms of life, they cannot change our karma. I've been many years on these (jyotish) lists and for many years have had people writing to me privately wanting remedies to change their circumstances. But circumstances, fate/destiny cannot be changed...the only thing that can be changed is how we react to our circumstances...and surely jyotish itself is the greatest tool for that! The great and rare privilege of being led to this knowledge, of being able to actually see in the horoscope (and hopefully to understand) the illusory, ever-changing nature of karmic existence, should be a liberating experience. But, such is the state of humanity today, that often it's looked upon (only) as a means to improve one's lot in life. Of course I don't mean to condemn those astrologers who selflessly sacrifice their time giving predictions to those who are confused and suffering... they're providing a service no doubt, and this has been a time-honoured tradition :-) I can't remember (now) who the saint was that said; "I give them what they want in the hope that someday they may want what I have to give"... I'm not at all alluding to myself here, just to the philosophy that the higher truth of jyotish should be the goal that we strive for.
