Guest guest
Dear Wendy ji and Krishnan ji, Many thanks for the readings! On Tuesday night, my dad was admitted to hospital with a blood sugar reading of 423. This figure, as of Wednesday evening, was bought down to 126, so things are much better now. There appears to be some gall bladder stone too, and some pus formation in the liver. But, since sugar levels are down, he is responding well to medicine. Could urinary infection be because of Sukra's ownership of the 7th house? Wendy ji - Can you do a more comprehensive reading? Shuttling from office to work to hospital has left me feeling very tired, and it is so difficult to read charts when both your eye and your mind want to just shut off! Krishnan ji - Apart from Prashna, can you give some of your thoughts on the reading from the birth chart too? Many thanks in advance! In fact, I was quite worried when by dad was hospitalized, but the association of 9th lord Chandra with the current period acted as a ray of hope and made me feel that things will definitely improve soon! ~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan * http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm Author, Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs Editor, The Partial Art of Detection ~~~~~~~ Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005
Guest guest
Dear Balaji, Just a very quick response as I'm extremely pushed for time here today. Unfortunately I can't make much sense of the BS readings you gave - here a normal reading is around 4.5 - I'm in the dark how to convert your reading to something I'm familiar with...?? However, apart from that, I can tell you (being a diabetic myself) that any illness i.e. infection, fever, virus (whatever) will certainly raise the BS level in diabetics...this really is to be expected. Hopefully I might have some more time to spare this evening. For now though I must leave it here, I'm afraid :-( Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________ - "Balaji Narasimhan" <sherlockbalaji <jyotish-vidya> Thursday, September 15, 2005 2:22 PM Father's illness Dear Wendy ji and Krishnan ji, Many thanks for the readings! Could urinary infection be because of Sukra's ownership of the 7th house?<< Response: Hospitalization, rise in BS levels (diabetes) and so forth are not surprising considering bhukti lord Venus occupying and transiting 12th house. As you know, Venus (particularly, although Jupiter also) is associated with diabetes. 7th house and Libra are also associated with diabetes and urinary disease. At first glance one may conclude Venus in moolatrikona sign, without malefic aspect, to be a positive. However we need to be aware that being 'hemmed in' by malefics (papa-kartari yoga) applies also to dasas... Venus bhukti is hemmed in by Rahu(dasa) and Saturn(PD). And, as I said before, the current (Saturn) PD can prove difficult for your father's health due to Saturn occupying 8th from lagna and transiting 8th from Moon... The problems could be intermittent (ups and downs) due to the uncertain nature of Ketu. Obviously Moon's dispositor Jupiter (conjunct Ketu in transit) will add emphasis to this...do you agree? Looking at your own chart we see that this JU/KE conjunction has resulted in unexpected deifficulties for you in relation to career... Jupiter owning 10th! And, if you take 10th as father, we see also the difficulties related to father at this time. Of course we see this regardless of which house is father as Jupiter is dispositor of Sun(father) in 10th. Ketu is a very unpredictable planet as you know...problems can unexpectedly appear, disappear and reappear again and again...intermittant! When time permits you might care to offer your own thoughts on this... Guest guest
Wendy ji, <<<Unfortunately I can't make much sense of the BS readings you gave - here a normal reading is around 4.5 - I'm in the dark how to convert your reading to something I'm familiar with...??>>> Well, I believe that "normal" is around 70 - 140. I don't know what units they use here in India. Now, this has stabilized around 160 and the doctor says there is not much cause for concern. There is a stone in the gall bladder. From your site, I gathered that this is ruled by Sani and the 5th house. There is also some pus in the liver, [5th house and Guru] which the doctor claims could be the cause for the fever (of course, considering that Ketu is involved, I don't think we will know 100%). Sani as Antar Natha afflicting Guru in my dad's natal chart perhaps indicates this. ~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan * http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm Author, Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs Editor, The Partial Art of Detection ~~~~~~~
Guest guest
Wendy ji, Your thoughts on PKY and Dasas is most illuminating! Soon, however, Budha Antar will start and hopefully, improve chances of recovery. Ketu has played his hand. Apparently, there was no urinary tract infection. Once they remove the pus from the liver, the doctor says that everything will improve. So, the "apparent" cause was urinary infection, but the "hidden" cause was the liver problem! The gall bladder is not serious - the doctor said that it can be handled at leisure. Guru rules the liver and he is aspected by Antar Natha Sani, dispositor of Ketu. Maybe, this brings out the hidden angle! <<<Obviously Moon's dispositor Jupiter (conjunct Ketu in transit) will add emphasis to this...do you agree?>>> 100%! Of course, now, with Guru poised to enter Tula on Sep 27/28, things should improve. <<<Looking at your own chart we see that this JU/KE conjunction has resulted in unexpected deifficulties for you in elation to career... Jupiter owning 10th!>>> Yes, and with Guru Neecha, though getting Neecha Bhanga, it is causing problems! Maybe, Sani's Antar for me, which starts in Dec 2005, should offer some solace. That, and Guru's transit to Tula - though this is the inimical 4th, it has an Ashtaka Varga of 7, so it could be good. <<<Ketu is a very unpredictable planet as you know...problems can unexpectedly appear, disappear and reappear again and again...intermittant!>>> Yes, and even modern medicine is helpless! The doctor is quite sure that removing the liver pus will cure the fever. But, I think that things will really improve in Budha Antar, because then Sani, Ketu's dispositor, will not have a great say in matters. True, he aspects Budha and is disposited by Budha, but since Budha is conjunct 5th lord Guru very closely, I don't think the effects of Sani's aspects will be very high. Now, I'm worried about the money angle. My dad retired from SBI [state Bank of India], one of the largest banks in the country. The bank apparently will cover him for serious illness like heart attacks to the tune of Rs 2 lakh [200,000]. He is not sure if this will also cover diabetes and the current hospitalization. I think that, since Guru will be moving into his 11th, he will get the money. Also, Budha Antar could help because Budha owns the 11th. Budha's ownership of the 8th may be bad, but the 8th also represents unearned wealth, so this could also help. What do you feel? Once again, Wendy ji, I thank you for this discussion. Looking at my dad in the hospital makes me feel gloomy, but the positive factors in his chart seem to give me hope that, with God's grace, everything will soon work out fine! ~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan * http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm Author, Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs Editor, The Partial Art of Detection ~~~~~~~
