Dear Wendy ji and others,

I want to consult you regarding the prolonged illness of my

father, whose details are as under:

Name: S. Narasimhan

DOB: 25-Sep-1944

TOB: 10:52 AM

POB: Kumbakonam, INDIA [10n58, 79e23]

Vrichaka Lagna, Dhanur Rasi, Moola Nakshatra

Background: Though over 60 years of age, he enjoys good health

and the only affliction is diabetes, which he is controlling

with the aid of diet and exercise. Now, for the past one month,

he is suffering from some fever, which comes and goes. He gets

better and then relapses. Now, the doctor says it may require

hospitalization. He had one round of tests, but the doctor

ordered the tests to be performed again because he was not happy

with the results.

Analysis: Native is running Rahu Dasa - Sukra Bukti - Sani

Antar.

* Rahu: Placed in 9th, unaspected, in star of 5th lord Guru.

Apart from his natural malefic nature and Sani Vad Rahu, with

Sani being malefic from both Lagna and Chandra, there are no

other evils. Dispositor Chandra is fortified by occupying house

of Guru and by aspects of Lagnadipati Kuja and 5th lord Guru,

though aspected by Sani. However, Rahu's Shadvarga Vimshopak

(SVV) is low and just over 5. (Chandra, I think, attains

Ucchatva in Navamsa. I don't have my astro software in my

office, but I think that Chandra is in Moola 2nd Pada, which

indicates the 74th Navamsa Pada from Mesha 0 degrees, which will

be ruled by the lord of the 74nd house from Mesha, which is

Vrishaba.)

* Sukra: Placed in Moolatrikona as lord of 12th in 12th. While

12th lord is neutral, Sukra suffers from Kendradipati Dosha and

is malefic. However, since he is strong and has SVV greater than

18, it is not too bad because strong malefics cause lesser harm

than weak malefics. Still, 12th indicates hospitals.

* Sani: Placed in the 8th, which indicates chronic diseases, but

aspected by 9th lord Chandra. Sani is the dispositor of Ketu,

who indicates hidden diseases. Sani also afflicts Budha, lord of

the 8th. Budha and the 3rd both indicate nervous system, and I

wonder, is this problem related to the nervous system? On the

positive side, Sani's SVV exceeds 15.

My dad had a medical checkup (blood/urine). Apparently, blood

sugar is hampering the progress of antibiotics. One sees Ketu's

hidden hand of hidden diseases.

As per Gochara, Rahu (4), Ketu (10), Sani (8) and Guru (10) are

all inimical. Guru's transit to the 11th in end-Sep should help

matter a little.

My questions:

* The situation seems bad, but Chandra aspects Antar Natha and

also disposits Dasa Natha. Will his benefic 9th lordship lead to

an early cure? Since 9th indicates solutions, will Chandra lead

to a quick and permanent cure, with no further relapses?

* Lagna is subject to Subha Katari Yoga by Sukra and Chandra.

Will this factor help?

* The doctor has ordered further tests. Will these tests lead to

a proper diagnosis and quick cure? Or, will Ketu in the 3rd,

disposited by Antar Natha Sani complicate matters by hampering

accurate diagnosis?

Please help me asap. It is painful for me to see my dad, who is

more active than me normally, to be bedridden.

Dear mr Narasimhan,

When I have applied for prashna lagna moon in lagna in the nakshtra of

poorvashadha:venus with lagna lord in 10th in rahu-ketu axis.

In navamsa the lagna lord venus in 8th but lagna is aspected by jupiter and also

exalted saturn aspect on 8th.

The prasna lagna being seershodaya an d the lagna lord placed in 5th navamsa is

a positive sign of his recovering from illness. But in 4th Rahu aspecting jupiter

with ketu indicates his fever is due to virus. No reason to worry about. In

anycase propitation to Rahu will help

krishnan

Dear Balaji,

Consider the PD of Saturn, lord of 3rd/4th bhavas (dispositor of

Ketu) in 8th. Chronic intermittent fever which cause may be

difficult to diagnose can be attributed to Saturn's dispositorship

of Ketu. If you look at the file (Graha and Physiology) in

Jyotish-vidya group "File section" you'll see that fever is

attributed to Ketu... this information is also available on

http://jyotishvidya.com/prikriti.htm

Presently Saturn is transiting dasa lord Rahu (in 9th) in sign of

Cancer. This you should consider carefully in light of the fact that

Rahu's dispositor (Moon) occupies 6th from Rahu in nakshatra of Ketu

whilst PD lord Saturn is transiting 8th from Moon...Ashtama Sani! In

light of your father's age and the association of 3rd/4th houses

this is quite a difficult transit.

You might like to consider these points in your father's horoscope

along with your own horoscope and (hopefully) we can talk it over

tomorrow. It's rather late here now and not so easy for me to

concentrate with the mind feeling so sleepy...

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy
