Guest guest
Hi Wendy Ji Thanks for reply. Taking one example :-Sat in 10th (leo sign) and sun in 12th house (libra sign). Sat placement in enemy sign means negative influence. Since sat is present in leo sign (lorded by sun) so saturn will carry effects of sun with it. Now since saturn is not a friend of sun so result of the house *10th* will not be favorable. Moreover since sat aspects sun with 3rd drishti so sun is also effected badly by saturn. In this case sun is debilitated so results are on worse side related to profession. many thanks angel --- Wendy Vasicek <wenvas wrote: > Dear Angel, > > Perhaps we should look first at "what is the > difference"..rather > than what is more powerful. Guest guest
Dear Angel, You Wrote: Taking one example :-Sat in 10th (leo sign) and sun in 12th house (libra sign). Sat placement in enemy sign means negative influence. Reply: Actually, in this instance, Sun & Saturn in 3/11 from each other are neutral... natural enemy + temporary friend = neutral. See Parashara Ch3. TEMPORARY RELATIONSHIPS: The planet posited in the 10th, 4th, 11th, 3rd, 2nd, or the 12th from another becomes mutual friend. There is enmity otherwise. (This applies to a given horoscope.) 57-58. COMPOUND RELATIONSHIP: Should two planets be naturally and temporarily friendly, they become extremely friendly. Friendship on one count and neutrality on another count make them friendly. Enmity on one count combined with affinity on the other turns into equality. Enmity and neutralship cause only enmity. Should there be enmity in both manners, extreme enmity is obtained. The astrologer should consider these and declare horoscopic effect accordingly. You Wrote: Since sat is present in leo sign (lorded by sun) so saturn will carry effects of sun with it. Reply: It would be easier to form an opinion if the horoscope itself was available. Certainly Saturn is influenced by the sign he occupies (in this case Leo ruled by Sun) whilst 10th lord Sun carries the influence of 3rd/4th lord Saturn whom he disposits. In this instance Saturn is aspecting his dispositor with whom he has a neutral relationship...not good, not bad (in this respect). You Wrote: Now since saturn is not a friend of sun so result of the house *10th* will not be favorable. Moreover since sat aspects sun with 3rd drishti so sun is also effected badly by saturn. Reply: See the reply above... You Wrote: In this case sun is debilitated so results are on worse side related to profession. Reply: Again, it's necessary to see the chart, but do consider the fact that Saturn is aspecting his dispositor who occupies his sign of exaltation. I shudder when people say Saturn in 10th means this, or Jupiter in lagna means this...every chart is different...has different influences, different relationships, different strengths and weaknesses, and you can't possibly know what they are unless you see the chart! Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________
