Although I do know that u have my details - but again I will write below in case

if it is lost

D.O.B. 18 - 08 1931

P.O.B. KARACHI (INDIA ) NOW IN Pakistan.

T. O. B. 08.00 am

 

During the month of April, all of u advised me - because of Ketu mahadasha,

number of things plus my feelings about Maha Shakti Kundlini - plus

two other friends in U.K.

although told me One said yr days are numbered now - so do the followings

Pujas -

1. Mantra jap for Mahamutrujaya plus havens

2. Dhanvantri Puja

3. Rudri Puja

4. Shakti Puja and Haven

5. Man gal (mars /Kunj) Puja plus Haven.

 

whole month of June I did all these with the help of Brahamans well

knowledgeable about all

above. -

still my feelings about food is is the same - I only feel staying on Liquid -

some

time little fruit - but nothing more.

Recently I lost my Brother on 30Th July 2005 at Bombay - but this happened

during

the Heavy Monsoon - time was so difficult that flight to go up to Bombay was

impossible.

 

Apart from these can any one suggest any other remedies - Please not that I am

not afraid to die, As I do know it is bound to happened - as what comes on earth

- goes away -nothing is permanent.

 

Please forgive me as I am addressing this only to few of u - whom I consider as

very very respected friends . and I do not wish this to be known to all the

others.

 

I end this message with forgiveness - in case I am causing any problems as some

days I became very sad. - although I keep on chanting Guru Mantra all the times.

Dear pdk,

 

It's now quite late (here) and I'm about to retire for the night.

However I just wanted to respond (briefly) to your mail whilst I'm

still at the computer. First I want to say there's nothing to

forgive at all :-)

 

I do sympathise with your feelings (totally)...these are feelings

familiar to myself these days...and to many others, I dare say.

 

Your difficulty in partaking of regular (solid) food is

understandable with dasa lord Ketu occupying 2nd house...Ketu

restricts as we know, and (in Varshaphal) Ketu occupies 6th house of

appetite. In natal chart 6th lord Saturn, aspecting 2nd, is in Rx

motion; again having a depressive influence on appetite...etc, etc..

 

I will try to talk more tomorrow, God willing, but in the meantime

try not to worry too much...many of our great saints and mystics

have maintained good health on very little sustenance. There are

certain Ayurvedic remedies that can help to stimulate a sluggish

appetite...also simple things to pacify Vata will help as both Ketu

and Saturn express this dosha (which increases in all of us as we

get older)...excess Vata can certainly result in loss of appetite,

nervousness etc.. Just listening to Gandharva music can be helpful

in restoring balance, drinking Vata tea and infusing the air around

you with Vata essential oil can all be very helpful in balancing

this dosha and restoring calmness to the physiology..

 

Hopefully our other esteemed members can also add their thoughts.

Dear pdk,

 

You're most welcome :-)

 

I would just like to add a couple of points here if I may. First,

regarding the doshas...

 

As we know, our prikriti (constitutional body type) is subject to

fluctuations throughout life due to the influence of dasas/transits.

For you, excess Vata, or Vata imbalance can be assumed due to the

nature of your dasa lord Ketu and the aspect of Saturn on 2nd (the

house of food occupied by Ketu). Also, as I said earlier, Vata

increases naturally as we get older...add to this your prolonged

fasting (abstinence from regular solid food) which in itself creates

more imbalance (aggravates Vata) and you have a problem that will

only increase over time. We all, sooner or later, come to the end of

our journey, but whether we be at the beginning, the middle or the

end it's possible (and desirable) to live our life with calmness and

contentment. Excess Vata in our physiology makes it difficult to

face whatever lies ahead without feelings of trepidation and fear,

so it's good to try to balance this dosha. As we spoke of earlier in

this group, it's good to take a spoonful of honey first thing in the

morning to balance the doshas (if you can manage this). I won't

recommend any prayers or mantras as I'm sure you're already doing

that :-)

 

Secondly, regarding the temperament (humor) of Ketu...

 

Someone wrote to me privately saying that Ketu, like Mars, is fiery

in temperament. This however is a misconception based, I should

imagine, on the dictum "Rahu Vat Sani, Ketu Vat Kuja". However, as I

was taught by Maharishi Jyotish, this applies to the fact that the

nodes reflect the results due to Saturn & Mars in Rasi as, according

to Parashara, Rahu, like Saturn, has Aquarius as own sign and Ketu,

like Mars, has Scorpio as own sign... Parashara Ch 47, sloka 39.

 

In describing the temperament (humor) of the planets however,

Parashara is quite specific when he tells us that Ketu, like Rahu,

is WINDY in temperament (vata) whilst Mars is BILIOUS (pitta).

Further to this we're told that Ketu governs the nervous

system/spine and, as we know, Vata's most important function is to

control the central nervous system and when imbalanced can lead to

anxiety, depression, tremors and so forth.

I know there are several books (and several schools of thought) that

describe Ketu as fiery in disposition but I prefer to follow the

teaching of Parashara (and Maharishi who taught me both Maharishi

Jyotish and Maharishi Ayurveda) rather than some of these modern day

authors who, although knowledgeable in many things, are most

certainly not infallible.
