What also helps is that Jupiter aspects 10th house, so knowledge-based industries have a good chance of prospering. Rgds., K. Or, how else might we read the meaning of Cancer here? With all the raj yogas involved in the third house, and because India is currently running the Vimshottari dasa of Venus and then in a few years, the Dasa of the Sun, both located in Cancer, might we infer that the information technology industry will continue to grow and provide fruitful sustenence not only in India but also in the world economy? Guest guest Posted August 2, 2005 Report Share Posted August 2, 2005 Hi Julia, Don't call me sir, especially since I am female :-) Can't comment on the world economy, but India does have a fabulous chart for communications. There are over 300 languages and dialects spoken in India, which should not surprise any student of astrology. Not to mention, Sanskrit and Tamil are among the world's oldest languages. India's biggest advantage in IT is that our people speak umpteen languages including English, and we speak it well. Unlike China, for example. Though Cancer is a movable sign, it would not be fair to associate it with fluctuations. It can be argued that since it is a cardinal sign, the loaded third house brings ambition of a very high calibre. I prefer not to generalise the behaviour of signs. I have to wonder though, what the Jupiter return will bring, post-September 2005. Rgds., K. I think this is true since Cancer is also related to creating security. Cancer is a watery sign ruled by the Moon so I have been taught to associate it with fluctuations, even though it is a Chara Rasi. But since you "prefer not to generalise the behaviour of signs" I should not proceed further. We can agree the 3rd house of the chart in question is very "full" of promise.
