Hi all

I have a doubt-HOW it is decided that planets are weak

or strong.

One way is deciding the position of

planets-exalted,mooltrikona,own house,debilated sign.

Incase some planets is in its sign of exaltion then we

see the basic nature/lordship of the house then we

decide regarding the strength of planet.

My question does the longitude/latitude of the planets

also matter.Or some other things/concepts are to be

taken care of.Please advice on this.

Going further,Incase a planet is in exaltion sign (BUT

not extreme point of exaltion) still the planet must

act as benefic. The amount of benefit done by such

planet will not be extreme but definitely good and

planet can not be called weak planet.

many thanks

Hi

Searching on net i got a answer which i m posting:

It is frm http://www.astroview.com/e_system.html

Weak Planets: Planets are considered weak if they are:

1. In their signs of debilitation. 2. Are combust. 3.

Are in the state of infancy (first five degrees of a

sign). 4. Are in the state of old age (last five

degrees of a sign). 5. Placed in a malefic house (the

sixth, eighth, and twelfth) in the natal chart or by

transit.

thanks

You also need to consider Vimshopak, Shadbala, and Navamsa

positions to determine strength of grahas.
