Guest guest
Dear Sirs, Thank you again for your fine articulation of Prasna rules. I am a student of both Prasna Shastra and Western Horary astrology. Both are ancient systems which have surely evolved from the same tradition, though I have yet to solve this deep mystery of their common roots. I base my beliefs on the fact that many Prasna techniques use Tajika (Arabic) aspects and yogas, which are also used in Western Horary techniques derived from the teachings of Al Biruni. There is an unwavering rule in Western Horary astrology that one particular question can be asked only one time. This includes asking the question through any means...it may only be once. So for example, if I ask a particular question to a Palmist or card reader, then that will be my one and only chance to ask that question, and I should not pose that question before an astrologer or anyone else again. In _Prasna Tantra_,BV Raman states that "The first query is to be read from the ascendant, the second from the Moon, the third from the Sun, the fourth from Jupiter, and the fifth from the stronger of planets Mercury or Venus." Raman goes on to say that "If only one question is answered, the prediction cannot go wrong." Does this mean the question may be asked numerous times, or does this mean that one particular question may only be asked once, but if the querent has numerous questions about other matters, they may be answered in this aforementioned order by the astrologer. Guest guest
hello juliana, In the context of vedic Sciences, Vedic Astrology is a very exhaustive and elaborate field of science and needs various issues to be linked. Also ancient sages and seers have the ability understand 'janma" otherwise "birth is a very critical issue/event in the life of the "mother"(as well as father ofcourse).it is really difficult at that time to keep note the actual timing of birth. Also this kind of keeping an accurate timing also needs realisation that this data will be useful for analysing the life and events that unfold. Also sometimes such situation arise in life which people want to be addressed and look around for guidance. Keeping these issues in mind and having awareness to the situations Vedic Astrology could make available a 'short cut" to Astrologers to overcome difficulties throgh horary astrology. In "Vedic Astrology Hora a definete sense and meaning to time and is a fraction of the cycle(of events and time)"In all Indian Almancs accordingly Hora is given lot of importance in daily life. where as Mooka( through Verbal method) a prasna can also be addressed to get a solution. Hora also revolves round luminaries:sun and moon which have only house ascribed to them. Thus they assume importance of lagna by themselves. Mooka has also different meanings;it also means group and also needing sggregation. In this context Astrologers(Jyotish) also need some rules and regulations. These have been elaborated indicationg limitations in Horary Astrology as it is Mooka(Verbal way) Also It has been foreseen a demand from the people in general for such guidance and advice around,it has been prescribed one question at one time. Also Astrologer has also been informed the methods when several people seek sevral redressal sevaral problems in a very short time. For this purpose it has been conveyed that from the position of various planets at a particular time, answers to sevral questions of sevral persons can also be addressed. Limitation how ever continues for limited use of Horary Astrology and to rely traditional analysis of Ascendant based on birth timing of the native. As far as asking several questions or repeating issues discounts the importance of Astrology on both sides. It is beyond doubt that the life events follow a pattern(be it dasa wise or otherwise) and always signify the importance of janma(Ascdt),poorva karmas(pancham,5th) and bhagya(9th):present life.Accordingly it has been defined that a child till 5th years experience results of mother and up to 10 years of father and from 10th his own.these issues are embedded in the 1,5and 9 analysis. In this context if we understood horary Astrology/prasna has to be resorted with sincerity and honesty only for one question by one individual. What b.v.r has conveyed is for Astrolgers Also it needs to be understood:that jyotisha comprises three grand divisions as under; Ganitha or Astronomy Phalabhaga(predictions) or judicial Astrology and last9but not least) Prasna(question) or horary Astrology refer Sravartha Chintamani:Introduction krishnan "If only one question is answered, the prediction cannot go wrong." if the querent has numerous questions about other matters, they may be answered in this aforementioned order Does this mean the question may be asked numerous times, or does this mean that one particular question may only be asked once, but if the querent has numerous questions?" Guest guest
dear juliana, I have very interesting expierence in horary astrolgy, which i want to share with members. when anybody come to me for any query, i genarally cast a prashna chart of that movement. In most of the cases, say 60-70% , ascendent of prashna chart, represent that house of birth chart, for which native is ancious to know. suppose asendent sign is virgo and virgo is fifth house of birh chart, you can imagine that native is ancious to know about his son or daughter or regarding his education or other matters related to fifth house. tajik is very dependable in horary astrology and its ithshal yoga, based on western aspect gives very good result. madhav Juliana Swanson <omhamsa wrote: Dear Sirs, Thank you again for your fine articulation of Prasna rules.
