Guest guest
dear members i have heard that if japa, meditation and spiritual practise is done on full moon or during the solar/lunar eclipse period its very beneficial. can any one please explain the reason why it is so and how can i know which are the favourable periods in the year during which one can get benefit by doing japa and mantra shadhana??? if someone can explain me why and most importantly the dates during this year i would appreciate the help arnab ARNAB
Guest guest
Dear Arnab, I think it's not so much that these are auspicious times of themselves but rather it's beneficial to be engaged in meditation practice during these times to balance the potential negativity. We know certainly that an eclipse is inauspicious, and it's commonly known that one's mental stability can be disturbed during full Moon. I know I find it very difficult to fall asleep during full Moon and meditation certainly helps to calm the mind (reducing the increased mental activity common with full Moon)... I remember someone once asking Maharishi what would be the best thing to do during an eclipse and he replied that it would be good to meditate. Other members may have more information on this. Guest guest
And there's also the advice I've read of wearing a Rudraksha strand at least on the day of the eclipse to help neutralize the effects. Hey...it doesn't hurt to do it so why not? Guest guest
Dear Wendiji, My understanding of the eclipses is these periods involve hyper activities and has potential to multifold ...and hence our ancestors would have used for mantra japa which is meditation + mantra sadhana. Is it correct..? regards sriganeshh jyotish-vidya, "RENEE SERRANO" <firecracker@m...> wrote: > And there's also the advice I've read of wearing a Rudraksha strand at least > on the day of the eclipse to help neutralize the effects.
