Guest guest
Dear Wendy and group members, I have here with me the birth details of a young man: d.o.b Sept 20, 1975 p.o.b Bombay t.o.b. !0.20 a.m. His career is not going anywhere. He has had a chequered education (lost interest in studies while passing through sadesati). Only interested in music and working as a DJ. Has a very good life provided by doting parents. Only child born to parents late in life. Enough finances and a beautiful house, all provided by parents. But now the parents are worried if he will have any decent career and whether he will be earning enough to be able to provide for a family should he decide to get married. If you have the time , could you have a look at the chart? And give your opinion on it? 10th house Saturn does put a question mark on career but then Saturn is also a yogkarak. Will success come late in life? Mars in 8th house and Rahu/Ketu axis along the 1st/7th house: What in your opinion is the effect of that? Negative for married life? Looking forward to your inputs on this, Regards, Neena
Guest guest
Dear Neena, The most important consideration here is the timing of the dasas. As we know, the full potential of (any) planet is realised at age of maturity...for Saturn this is not until 36th yr. Unfortunately, in regards to career, Saturn dasa commenced when this native was only 4 yrs old. He was still only 15 when he experienced the effect of Sade Sati (Dec 1990 - Apr 1998) and Mercury dasa commenced a few months after that. So the timing just hasn't been right for him in terms of career. The situation with Saturn and Moon is rather complicated as Saturn, in Moon's sign, is in sign of Grt Enemy and Moon, in Saturn's sign, is also inimicably placed (positioned 6th/8th from each other). Hence the difficulties during Sade Sati. However it's clear that his status has been benefited by Saturn's position (as you've said). Note: 1) Saturn's YogaKaraka status. 2) The exchange between 5th/10th lord giving rise to Maha-Parivartana Yoga. His current Mercury dasa, karaka for 10th conjunct karaka for 1st, occupies 12th from lagna (and 8th from Moon)... His interest in music and work as DJ is obvious with lagnesh Venus aspecting 10th lord in 5th house of amusements...and not forgetting Rx 3rd lord Jupiter's aspect on both 10th and its karaka (Mercury). The prospects/outcome of marriage is interesting when you consider lagnesh Venus (dispositor of Rahu) in 11th...Venus' nakshatra lord in 7th; 7th lord in 8th etc.. Consider 7th lord's aspect on 2nd house of family/finance (his own house) and his occupancy of 2nd from 7th...joint income/partners wealth? Perhaps you (or others) would like to expand on this... Guest guest
-Dear Wendy, You are absolutely right. His dasa of yogkarak Saturn came very early in childhood so he could not derive the benefit careerwise. Lord of the 2nd(wealth) in the 8th gives wealth that is inherited and not self earned. But lord of 2nd aspecting the 2nd and 11th is good for income but the restricting factor is the placement in 8th. His period of sadesati was very bad . He had just joined college and fell in bad company ( wayward friends), refused to study and spent about 8 years getting his degree something that should have been acheived in 5 years at the most. Now he is out of that phase but those important career making years have gone past and he has not found clear direction as yet. Mars is aspecting Venus. Do you think this Mars Venus connection is influencing his desire to be associated with the amusement industry ? Though even there he is not working hard. By the way, Wendy, anon had given some horoscopes with Mars Venus combos and we were going to take those up for study. The topic seemed very interesting. Do you think we could take up those horoscopes? But it's only a study if people participate...this lazy mind does need some stimulation, otherwise it would rather not work at all :-( Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com - "neenako" <neenako <jyotish-vidya> Monday, February 14, 2005 8:53 AM Re: Career Related question -Dear Wendy, You are absolutely right. Guest guest
Dear List, Saturn/Moon was the period he lost interest in/away from his studies. The dasha lords are in 6:8 position. They exchanged their houses. Moon is in the constellation of Venus who is the 8th Lord who aspects 5th house. The 5th lord Saturn is in 10th aspected by the Jupiter ® who is the powerful 6th lord. The same combination gives the individual the inclination towards music. See the third and fifth connection takes place in the 10th house of profession. The karaka for music venus aspects the karaka for mind in the 5th house amusements/inclinations/his emotions. Planets tend to open one door and close the other. In my opinion, Mercury/Mars would be turning his professional area better. He even could think of moving away from his birth place in search of money and name and position. Swamy.
