Guest guest
Dear Amer Abbas, I have tried to upload those I have in my Outlook Express "Sent Items" (which are many) but I haven't yet managed to do it. It seems that I can only upload each (mail) individually and not a folder containing many mails?? I confess I'm not a computer wiz and I might have to get a computer technician to come and do it for me...if it's possible and not too expensive to do so. Guest guest
Dear All, As a test I've had the idea to upload a zip file with the old mails from Jan 5-15. If this works out okay I'll get busy sifting through the rest...have to (painstakingly) separate the JyotishVidya mails from personal mails in my "Sent Items" folder. This I can only do (unfortunately) back to around August as I had my computer reformatted then and have no mails previous to that. Let me know if the zip file can be opened without too much difficulty...and/or if you have any other suggestions I can try. Guest guest
Dear Wendy, I am not sure that the zip file route will work. 1. You have to send it as an attachment. Since does not store attachments, each one of have to keep a personal copy of all those mails either in our mail box or on our hard disk. 2. Even making a zip file can be quite complicated. You will find it almost impossible to select only those mails that you want to be included in the zip file. Also at the receiving end, only people using outlook express can open the file. That too only if they manage to merge the unzipped file in to their own outlook expree file - this can be quite a technical feat. In short I feel it may not work. Only 2 solutions are possible according to me: 1. Every day you forward 5 mails from your sent folder to the list. Over a perid of time all will have been forwarded to the list. 2. You can copy paste the mails in your 'sent folder' in to a Word file and upload the file to the Files area of jyotish-Vidya website. But this can be lot of work and I will not recommend that you undertook this. I think, Wendy, you are already doing all of us a great favour by running the list for us and that we should not be asking you to take on more trouble. My own suggestion is that we all should take the loss of archives as our collective karma and move on with life in the new list. Guest guest
Dear Vendy Hope u be fine. i also agree with venkat that only easy way to upload that old messages of archives is to cut and paste them in a word format and upload that word file to files list. I also agree that it is a lot of work for u. I have a suggestion if u forward those messages as an attachment or singularly to my mail i will format those archives in word format and upload them to the group. I know i am asking too much from u. But i think we will all learn a lot from your analysis of charts as it is a PRACTICAL ASTROLOGICAL ANALYSIS of a MASTER in JYOTISH. I will at the end again say if it is not tooo difficult for u. Otherwise Pls dont take too much burden on yourself and rest and we all appreciate that u r back for us.
