Saturn Rx, wherever he is placed, gives tremendous sorrow. ( My horo is an

example. Saturn in Libra, Rx )

I am a new joinee of this group.I am a student of astrology

for last 9 years. One question really baffles me the role of retrograde

planets. Although we have found in our humble experience that retrograde

planets gives sudden results, but still find it difficult to predict with

confidence.

 

Some rules for retrograde planet defined in classical works are as

follows---

 

 

1. A planet in exhaltation and retrograde gives results of neecha

and vice versa, according to kalidasa in "Uttarkalamrita".Renowned author

J.N.Bhasin defies that view. Also in some cases we have seen a retrograde and

neecha saturn with ketu in mesa rasi for a karkata lagna native proves very bad

in his saturn dasa.

 

2. According to Saravali it says retrograde planets are full in

rays and if it is subha vakra it gives good otherwise bad. Mantreswar in his

phaladeepika also says retrograde planet are full in planetary rays and gives

good results.

 

Can anyone share his own experience regarding retrograde planets.
