Dera sir

Namaste.

I am Sourav Dasgupta,residing at kolkata,west

bengal, india. I am a keen student of vedic astrology

and pusueing the subject for last five years.

I am having some problems in the subject and will be

grateful to you if you answer my query.

Q) If it is found that the planetary positions are

different in rashi and bhava chakra ( Sripati),which

one is to be considered for correct bhava prediction.

Eg:Jupiter being lord of 5th bhava is a benefic planet

for Scorpio lagnas as per maharshi Parashara. But if it

is found as exception Bhava Sphuta of 4th bhava falls

in pisces, sagittarius having no bhava sphuta, then

jupiter becomes lord of 4th bhava.Does it still

remains a benefic? Is it now a kendrapati or konapati?

If it is deposited in virgo in 11th sign but in 10th

bhava what result will it give?

1.General case : Lord of 5th bhava in 11th bhava in

house of mercury.

or

Exception Lord of 4th bhava in 10th bhava in the house

of mercury.

In its Mahadasa an Antra will this Jupiter give

results of 5th and 11th bhava or 4th and 10 bhava?

I will be grateful to you if you answer my query .

namaste.

There are concepts here Rasi-bhava and Sputa-Bhava. Do not mix these

two. For scorpio Ascendant Jupiter is the lord of the 5th Rasi

(Commonly called fifth bhavadhipathi) here "Bhavadhipathy" refers to

the rasi meena. Sputa Bhava is considered to deeply understand the

implications related with specefic planetary positions. for example if

the ascendant is in the last part of scorpio and jupiter is situated

in the first part of meena, even though it may be in 5th rasi, it may

be taken as actualy in the 4th bhava. hence the predictions regarding

jupiter may be attributed to 4th house rather than 5th house. (here

read as jupiter is in 4th bhava and not 5th lord in 4th house.).

These are two distinct way of reading a horoscope-

Rasi Based- eg: labhadhipathy in dwitheeya, bhagyadhipathy(9th) in 5th

, Sun in Lagna etc

Supta Based: jupiter in 4th bhava, sun in Lagna Bhava etc.

I hope your doubt is cleared.

with regards

Suresh
