It gives some more additional info which JHora doesn't give. In this software,( Pc jyotish ) in the divisional charts, the position of rahu kethu differs from JHora. I think, rahu & kethu's posotion in JHora seems more accurate. In the ascendent's degree only one or 2 mts differs from Jhora to Pcjyotish.This does't matter much for the time being as we are learners. ** JHora is a vedic astro chart generativing software.Learners can reach this site by simply typing PVR108 , in the search section. Guest guest Posted June 24, 2002 Report Share Posted June 24, 2002 Dear Siva, The positions of Rahu / Ketu in JhoraLite 3.0 is taken as Mean Rahu/ketu rather than true Rahu/ketu which is considered by Vedic Astrologers to predict(though some take True position of Rahu also ). I disagree that there is 1 or 2 minutes difference in calculating the ascendant with JHL 3.0. Take any other software or as a matter of panchang and see when in a day the rising sign/ascendant change. Put the same time and place(i.e. Long and Lat)and you will find ascendant at 0 degrees. I have checked this with Lahiri Ephemeries and Date Panchang which is the most famous in Western part of India i.e. Maharashtra and have found it to be absolutely accurate upto minutes.
