Guest guest
Dear Hari, It’s a pleasure to see your reply to my mail. I was confused regarding the aspect of mars on Jup. & Venus and also about praying to Hanumanji on Tuesday. Thankx for the clarification. I am still learning Rashi Drishti and not conversant with it fully. There are still a few doubts. In her chart Jupiter is debilitated though ahead in degrees. Still should Jupiter be given the consideration or should it be the lord of the house i.e. Saturn. Also, Venus is in friendly sign. Hence he also becomes the contender for denoting the ishta. Now, “All the planets aspecting the 12th will give the result”. Hence shall I consider Mars aspect also or it will only be rashi drishti that will be considered and no effect of graha drishti is to be taken into account. In one of the mails by a senior member it was written that let the person start praying and in the mean-time the ishta will himself show him the path towards him (ishta-devta). In Rambha’s case – she is praying to Lord-Hanuman. Will it be that due to mars graha drishti that she will hence find out a way to her ishta devta or she should start praying to ishta-devta as derived from her horoscope. For my-knowledge can you explain in a layman’s language which god "Samba Shiva (Guru Rupa)" will represent. Will it be Lord Shiva or any other god? Also, would you elaborate on who will take her to her ishta-devta. I am confused here. Kindly throw light on the above. Thnx 1ce again. I look forward to your co-operation in the near future. Mars aspects 12th from karakamsa by graha drishti and NOT by rasi drishti. Am sure you know the difference. In anycase the rules are very clear. When 12th from karakamsa has more planets, the planet that has gained more degrees is the ista. and in this case, aspects are not seen. We both need to meditate more in understanding rasi drishti. > >Regards > >Hari > > - > ASHWIN HIRANI > Vedic Astrology > Wednesday, June 05, 2002 12:14 PM > [Vedic Astrology] [Rambha] Ishta-Devta > > > Dear Rambha, > > "Mr. Hari has recommended worshipping my Ishta- " > > I can understand for a beginner( well, even i am 1 also ) it is very difficult to find out Ishta-Devta on his own. Guest guest
Om Guruave Namah Dear Ashwin, My comments are in red. - "ASHWIN HIRANI" <ashviyn (AT) mailcity (DOT) com> <Vedic Astrology> Thursday, June 06, 2002 3:54 PM [Vedic Astrology] [Hari ]Few Queries : Ishta-Devta > Dear Hari,> > It's a pleasure to see your reply to my mail.> > I was confused regarding the aspect of mars on Jup. & Venus and also about praying to Hanumanji on Tuesday. Still should Jupiter be given the consideration or should it be the lord of the house i.e. Saturn. Also, Venus is in friendly sign. Hence he also becomes the contender for denoting the ishta. Take your thinking a bit further. What if there was mars posted with jupiter who is debilitated? then her ista would have been hanuman/Narasimha/Skanda. (any one of them). Thus in the absence of a more powerful planet with jupiter, jupiter would denote the ista. > > Now, "All the planets aspecting the 12th will give the result". Hence shall I consider Mars aspect also or it will only be rashi drishti that will be considered and no effect of graha drishti is to be taken into account. The difference between Rasi dristi and Graha Drishti is as follows. Rasi's are parmanent in nature where as graha's are not. Thus if any parmanent source aspects, then that aspect itself is parmanent. Thus Rasi drishti is parmanent in nature and the involved rasi;s have parmanent knowledge of each other. For example, Aries will never forget Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Graha drishti is only temporary. Thus Graha Dristi only indicates a desire denoted by that planet. Desires are swayed by maya. Now, when we talk of planets aspecting the 12th we acutally mean Rasi Drishti alone since they are parmanent. > > In one of the mails by a senior member it was written that let the person start praying and in the mean-time the ishta will himself show him the path towards him (ishta-devta). I think you are refering to the mail of a senior member in some other list, right? i think it would be unfair for the guru's of that list to start taking the discussions from that list to this list. In anycase, See how many rasi aspects are there to the 12th from the karakamsa. Planets in those signs guide the native to his/her Ista. > > For my-knowledge can you explain in a layman's language which god "Samba Shiva (Guru Rupa)" will represent.
