Guest guest
Om Guruave Namah, Dear Siva, It;s good that you are learning from SJVC site. Argala is the most important teachings of parasara. The 2nd house also stands for sustenence. It does not mean that when the dasa of the 2nd house is running, only then the person will sustain himself by eating!. As you have said Argala from saggi to Libra, why not the argala of the 12th house? (from the 8th?) The 7th house is invloved in a raja yoga by virtue of a combination of a trikona and a kendra lord. It;s intresting to understand why a kendra and a trikona lord combining will generate a raja yoga. In the navamsa (as Shri Narasimha rightly says) is for marriage, see the dharma-karmadhi pati yoga. intrestingly Capricorn in D9 is also the AL. What does AL in D9 (navamsa) signify? Now, the Upapada (UL) is Gemini. It;s lord is the one who is involved in the raja yoga in the 7th house. The 2nd from UL is for marriage sustenence. Moon is well placed in the 11th from UL. Though it will be intresting to see the narayana dasa of of Sg maha dasa (currently running). More so, Sg-Ge. Lagna and UL do fall in 2-12 from each other. Sg-Ge will be intresting again. Could you send me the details of the the prediction you made about a lady who remains unmarried? If you dont mind that is. Lastly, it would do good for Rambha to worship her ista devata. Let;s all learn together... am still a student. Regards Hari - sivagnanalingam Vedic Astrology Monday, June 03, 2002 2:34 PM [Vedic Astrology] Reply to Rambha. Guest guest
Om Gurave namah, Dear Siva, As far as the son's rahu in the 8th in meena goes (Rambha's son), i dont think we have a complete chart. But my two cents would be that rahu is always opposed to jupiter. Rahu stands for adharma, foreign traditions etc, where as jupiter stands for Dharma and tradition. Rahu will always be uncomfortable in jupiter's house. As far as desire for astrology is concerned, one needs to see the d-24 and intrepret rasi and d-24 on the basis of Drig dasa. Plus the planets who give desire and success in astrology is hardly saturn. it;s jupiter and mercury. No wonder the combination of jup-merc is called Dhi Shakti as we recite in the great gayatri mantra. when we talk about knowledge of astrology, sun cant be far behind. after all, jyotisha is the science of the light. Also was running sade' sati( still am - saturnin taurus these days.) Guest guest
Om Guruave Namah Dear Shailesh, By SA i guess you mean saturn. you have bought out a few great topics like traditions, maturity. I will try to think out loud and please bear with me for any misakes as i am a beginner. As far as traditions go, one usually thinks of those tradidtions that have been handed over from generations (by elders, guru's and perceptors). Thus we say they are conventional. These are only signified by jupiter. These traditions are form a large part of paramapara. Maturity however i think has a larger meaning. We again need to draw a parallel between mercury and jupiter. Mercury can be intelligence, the ability to break down a problem to arrive at a logical conclusion. The mercury could do it very fast, in a witty way too. however sadly mercury does not have the knowledge to the whole (complete) picture of the problem at hand. This can come only by foresight with intution. This again is signified by jupiter. Thus jupiter and mercury are the very key for astrological knowledge. Now, saturn is the eldest surely, but it is also selfless. not unlike jupiter who will take sides. Saturn as you implied gives knowledge and maturity but that knowledge and maturity is one which comes by experience and suffering. Would love to hear your comments. Thanks and Regards Hari - Shailesh Vedic Astrology Wednesday, June 05, 2002 11:31 PM Re: [Vedic Astrology] Reply to Rambha. Each dasa has it;s own use specifically. It;s an intresting discussion to have abt multiple dasa systems. Thanks and regards Hari - sivagnanalingam Vedic Astrology Monday, June 03, 2002 2:34 PM [Vedic Astrology] Reply to Rambha. In the earlier post I mentioned -in female charts 8th house malefic will deny the prosperity of her husband. From last year I have been learning from the SJVC site - a concept named ARGALA. In your chart the 8th house has saturn but from the8th house- venus is in the 11th ,own house libra.so the 8th housemalefic influence is removed by the venus ( just think from the 8thhouse sagit... libra is 11th and laba house to eight. )SO YOUR 8TH HOUSE GETS SUBA ARGALA. This gives prosperity to your husband.Your lagna is in 12 degree and the 7th house mars in 13 degree.jupiter 20deg sun 25 degree. When atmakaraka sun joins with jupiter-This gives religious related nature and knowledge.IN LOrd Krishna's chart Jupiter and the sun in the fifth house simha.Virgo is a best house for rahu. Your Hora lagna joins in virgo.Ghati lagna is in sagitarius. Ghati lagna and Hora lagna aspect each othrs.( rashi drisdhi ). so rahu dasa has the power to give prosperity to you (and your family ) . Above all look your navamsa. There are no planets in the 8th and 12th houses. ( also 6th house is vacant.) You aruda lagna-Upapathalagna and dara pada -these three reference points don't falldustana ( 6-8-12) to each others. The formation of planets in navamsa seems good.In rasi, mars and the sun are too far from eachother. Guest guest
Dear Rambha, Your son has a very strong chart. He will be a leader, possibly a counselor, musician or enter in to the family business. The combust planets are by a functionally benefic, strong and well placed Sun. They will benefit from it's light overall, only in transits will they become somewhat weak. Moon can be propitiated to alleviate third house and ninth house difficulties, tensions. Mars can be strengthened as well as Jupiter. Aloha, Sally - Katti Narahari Vedic Astrology Tuesday, June 04, 2002 12:09 AM Re: [Vedic Astrology] Reply to Rambha. Om Guruave Namah Dear Rambha, Please get the two volumes of Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra translated by G.C Sharma. That would be the best way to start. Regards Hari - anukochhar Vedic Astrology Tuesday, June 04, 2002 2:55 PM Re: [Vedic Astrology] Reply to Rambha. OM SRI HANUMATE NAMAH. dear mr. siva and mr. hari, Thank you for the prompt replies to the mail I posted. I'm just a beginner and feel so lost when It comes to techincal terms. Mr. siva kindly forward to me the The URL of the site that you referrred to in your mail. I'd love to visit and learn something. I'm a little unclear about the dream goddess concept- please illuminate me on the same. In my own naive manner I shall try and explain it - I do get premonitions about future which are correct in my dreams but that does scare me sometimes( is it Rahu?in the 5th) also ots said that Rahu ih 5th denies studies and comprehension- I have a postgraduate honors degree- maybe not a genius but definitely a good student yes. How about that? Also I think that my journey with religion is quite confused- Mr. Hari has recommended worshipping my Ishta- I believe in Lord Rama and hanumana- recite hanuman chalisa and sundarkand religiously- but then I also believe in the sufi mysiticism.how do I find my ishta devata? I'm just drawn to this power and believe that all my prayers are always answered no matter how even from unexpected quarters- jyotish and spiritualism go hand in hand . Its a part of one's journey of discovery called life. Saturn in 8th gave me a fall from a great height in my childhood - came out of it without a scratch.I have been told that if saturn is in 8th it does that. Also have had 2 surgeries in lwer abdomen once when 15 and on ce 2 years back in july 1999 mars / ketu running.Could it be because of mars - lord of 7th and 12th and venus the ascendant lord sitting in atrik bhava? I'm sorry still trying to find explanations in isolation rather than looking at the complete picture. I'm unable to do that right now. Also was running sade' sati( still am - saturnin taurus these days.) Thse seven yers have been horrendous - my child whose chart I'm sending now had a near deathexperience. My prayers and my faith helped the family to cope. I'll talk about my elder son - born on 30th aug. 1987. in Amritsar at6. 25 am. has a leo ascendant. He has sun in leo, Mars the yogakarka is combust in the first house, mercury and venus are also both combust and sitting in leo. Ketu is in the second house, moon in the third, Saturn here sits in the 4th ( making him extremely hard working and industrious) , Rahu is in Meena ( 8th)and Jupiter is in aries (9th) house .Jupiter is also retrograde here. This child is extremely intelligent is way ahead of his classmates in studies and is very industrious. Had 2 and a half year bout of bad health dutring jupiter / mercury dasa in oct.1997.this has even firmed his resolve to excel and he 's extremely competitive. Is a good speaker and a voracious reader. Is also religious. What i need to seek you guidance about is that is the career he has the inhrent strenth to pursue. Is it medicine or is he more suited for some research oriented career- he has immense interest for astronomy and reads Stephen hawkings etc.I believe that the stars responsible for medical field are surya and mangal? One more question how good or bad is a retrogade planet- strengthwise. The desire to know more is endless but I'll end here and shall wait for evryone's response. thank you all for the trouble and namaste , rambha. - sivagnanalingam Vedic Astrology Monday, June 03, 2002 2:34 PM [Vedic Astrology] Reply to Rambha.
