Begineers Chart Analysis

Hello all,

First of all, I must congratulate Vipin jee for starting this new group. I feel

more comfortable posting and expecting replies in this forum.

As a beginner in astrology, I am trying to analyse my own chart first. I give

below my analysis of the chart and seek comments if I am right or I need to

change/ modify my approach. All comments in my effort to learn shall be most

appreciated.

You all may notice that I have taken a logical/scientific approach (well I am an

Engineer working in Computing field). It may not be the right approach, but it

may be how most beginners might start it, hence I continue.

First my Details

Name: Ashok Garg

Time of Birth: 4 April 1952

Time of Birth: 4.00 am ( This is approx only and may need rectification)

Place of Birth: Delhi India 28N40, 077E13

I analyse the Lagna first and the planet in the Lagna ie Venus and Rahu. I hope

to continue with other house analysis (in serial from 1 to 12) in subsequent

posts if this experiment goes well. I shall answer all questions re my past

with dates etc if needed to help this study.

Ruler of the first house Saturn is in the 8th house points to poor health, weak

vitality, short life, accidents, large debts etc etc ( per James Braha book).

But this has not been the case. I think I have had good health overall (except

chronic constipation which I am constantly helping myself by attention to

diet).

Venus in the first house points to Happiness, healthy and long life, lucky,

wealthy etc etc. Marrige being a great source of happiness. Since Venus is

Yogakarka. Probably answers my questions above. Venus has taken over the bad

influences of 1st lord in the eight. AM I RIGHT ? Since I am looking at my own

chart I can assume this, how do I do it for a new chart?

(Venus: Venus is Yogakarka being in Acquarius sign, is in friend’s sign

(so has +ve energy) But is aspected by Rahu ( hence carries -ve energy).)

Rahu in 1st, is bad for domestic happiness, constant ups and down in married

life. Yes I have had ups and down, but over all I have had and excellent

married life. SO what is countering this affect. ( Can some experts comment on

this please, )

(Rahu in the friend's sign aspected by Venus hence good, Has Rahu –ve

influence been reduced because of this.)

In my analysis Venus as a benefic and yogakarka has overtaken and having very

strong +ve influence for Langa (hence over all in the chart). Is this correct?

I would try to keep my first post short but wish to jump to the Next Dasa period

from 27-11-2003. ie Venus dasa period for 20 years. (Since we discussed Venus as

Lagna residing planet )

This Venus(good) dasa period is being countered by Sade Sati (starting from

April 2001) and continuing for 7 1/2 years. I understand that influence of Sade

Sati is dependent upon the Astakvarga points. My astakvarga point are 26, 22 and

35 for the 4th 5th and 6th house. (Astakvarga calculations as per Dr VB Raman

book and need average of 28) . Since my Moon is in 5th house, has only 22

points, so the -ve influence shall be staring from about 2003 for 2 1/2 years

or more.

My previous SadeSati caused problems in my Education and initial Career.

Although keeping in perspective, my education was quite satisfying and fairly

good too.

As a beginner, I am not able to understand how to blend these two influences together.

So over all I think Venus has been the most +ve influence in my chart (Lagna has

the over all influence) and has guided my life for better ( with all the

associated problems or learning experiences as I would like to call these)

Lastly, can some experts please help me, how can I take my analyses of the Lagna

further more deep etc.

(Note: If some one wants to jump ahead and point me or discuss some other

glaring aspect of the chart, please write. I shall try to comprehend that part

first rather than starting in serial from house 1 to 12.)
