There is no doubt of concern that the Shia and Kurds are a vulnerable people. The Sunnis power in the country and its neighbors cannot be ignored However, I have fallen to my knees today to see the courage and strength of the Shia and Kurds and even yes, some of the factions of Sunnis that have come out today and voted. And Vote they did!!! In the USA, only Senator Kennedy and Senator Kerry objected to this day of vote and have done their best to undermine its efforts with all sorts of doomsday projections and Blame. However, for the moment - and the moment cannot be ignored in its power of thought and walking tenacity in fear - The people of Iraq want a change in their country. God love them that they have braved the conditions to be the first generation to be handed a ballot with over 100 different parties to choose from. How ecumenical of all those voting, standing in intent for a long term result, knowing ever so well, that their comrade in line is and was often of a different belief and ideology. It is not a USA control of democracy in another country that is sought for its own benefit. It is a people of self-human dignity Lets us pray that the Sunnis and their insurgents of support or own faction of dictatorship based on a false excuse of Allah's intent will be minimized if not defeated in the long run. Allah and the Koran has been over idealized and taken out of context. Jhad is used as a poor excuse to go to war and kill indiscrimately for power and control. Today is a day of great victory for Shias and Kurds. But most importantly for a country as a whole My thoughts are of compassion and not astrological. There are obviously many roads ahead of distress that must be dealt with, but in the meantime,. there was order and personal power in the Iraqi people today that others with their own personal agenda for defeat have not been proven correct. For every split blood, today and within the last few weeks; they are the heroes for the thousands that exercised their governmental power as a people of their own wanted and sought democracy. God Bless Them All Debra p.s. as an American living in the USA it is all our responsibility to view the variety of news channels for different prespective but also to pay attention to the very accurate news feeds that come in from around the world by The Associate Press (AP) and Reuters. , knrao <kn_rao> wrote: > Elections in Iraq is a big international event though > Sunnis will boycott it and Shias and Kurds will vote in > heavy number which will show the recurrent future problems > if Iraq, I mean the post election scenario.
