My natal Sun is placed in my 6th house and it rules the 8th. Pretty scary I think... But, on the "bright" side, it is said that malefics in upachayas give good results... Could someone please explain how that works? What good results can I expect from a planet that comes from the 8th house of separation, chronic ailments, dangers, agonies, accidents, enemies to the 6th house of health and debts and enemies, etc? If the 8th lord is in the 6th house the 8th lord significations will suffer and you the native will benefit. ie your obstacles will be removed. Obviously the whole chart needs to be seen in totality. I know many health conscious people, or people who work in health related fields with sun in 6th.so dont worry too much. I wasnt following thread, but Rui, most depends on the state of yourlagna, lagna lord and such for overal health.If your lagna has subha-kartari yoga, if lagna and lagna lord are occupied or aspected by benefics etc. so many things. Sun is Karaka for soul,father,postion,etc so you can entertain other thigns as well.The 8th house isnt all bad either.! Itis always good to chant mantras and follow pious lifestyle, Sarajit what mantra would be good for health based on his peticulair jyotirlinga? My sun dasha will only last 1 year though. Mercury is in the same 6th house with the sun. Also what you say regarding my father's health matches the fact that before the sun dasha starts, ketu will finish the venus dasha and ketu is on my 9th house in almost all charts (rasi, dasamsa, etc) this for me is a sign that something will happen there... but then again i am still not sure which house is indeed the house of the father, the 9th or the 10th...
