Dear Visti,

It looks very fine method to time the ending of marriages. How ever,

relationship between planets in the 12th and 2nd from UL is not likely to

dominate here. Please see my examples and share your understandings.

[Visti] Whichever planets are in the 12th house will have a direct bearing on

the upapada. i.e. if Ketu is in the 12th house, the marriage will be rocky for

the first 3 years. Now when I was taught further by Guruji in this regard he

said ANY planet in the 12th house can obstruct marriage. I further learnt later

on, that it depends on the relationship between the planet in the 12th house and

those joining or lording the Upapada or even its 2nd house (incase of sustenance

of marriage).

Imagine two simple cases;

1) Ketu in 12th house and Upapada in Aquarius (lorded by Rahu). This would cause

problems in getting married as Ketu and Rähu are opposed to each other.

2) Ketu in the 12th house and Upapada in Capricorn (hence 2nd house is lorded by

Rähu). This would cause problems in sustaining ones marriages.

 

 

Example-1 Sirimavo Bandaranayake-

Her Husband, was the former Sri Lankan prime minister, and was killed in Sep

1959. Then she got the ruling power and became world first lady prime minister.

It was Vimsottari Saturn maha dasa Mercury Bhukthi.

 

2nd from UL conjoined Rahu and waiting to brake the marrige. Lord Saturn has no

aspect to the 2nd from UL, and dispositer Mercury in 8th. 12th lord is Sun

(DK) is in 8th house gives VRY to the native, and conjoined Mercury in 8th

house. Mercury can give Sun's results. As soon as Mercury AD starts in Sep

1959, her husband killed, and finished the marrige, as well as activated the

VRY and she became prime minister.

Here Mercury is not in 12th, but working towards to break marrige by conjoining

12th lord Sun. Mercury is neutral towards Saturn, as well as Rahu. (Other than

this tool, I cannot explain how Mercury antar she lost her husband)

 

Example-2 Chandrika Kumarathunga

She loose her husband in Feb 1988, Saturn Maha Dasa, Mercury Bhukthi.

4 planets in 12th and Mercury become the most melific by exchanging the nature

with Rahu. Rahu enemical towards Mars, the 2nd load from UL. So Mercury. She

loose the husband in Mercury Anthar.

 

Exsample 3- A house wife

In Rahu MD, Venus anthar she left husband. Here Mercury is 5th load (love

affairs) in 12th conjoined Venus.

Mercury and Venus both are neutral/freindly towards 2nd from UL.

 

Example-4- Her Husband

Wife left in Rahu MD, Saturn Bhukthi. Saturn is in 12th, conjoined co lord of 2nd from UL.

This principle about the 12th

house tends to cause continous marital problems, not just the end of that

see the end of marriage – my comments to each chart are given here.

 

Example-1 Sirimavo

Bandaranayake-

Here Jupiter lords the Upapada, and Rähu is

in the 2nd there from… Here Rahu could have sustained the

marriage, provided it was friendly to the planet in/lording the upapada. Also

notice the Chara karaka replacement between Pitrikaraka and Putrakaraka occurring

around the same time. The death of the spouse occurred due to the 8th

house, and this also happens to be the 6th from AL, causing herself to get into power.

12.0pt">Lets be abit more systematic: there is a Chara karaka replacement

between DK-Rähu and GK-Sun. There are two more between Moon (MK) and Jupiter (BK)

and Mercury (AK) and Venus (AmK).

12.0pt">Since Venus is in an enemy sign with its lord Mars, this cannot be a

good transition occurring between DK and GK, and can give a violent outcome.

12.0pt">12th house has 4 planets, among which Saturn and Rähu aren’t

very happy with Mars in the 2nd from UL, actually there are many enmity

combinations occurring here (Sun-Venus, Rahu/Saturn-Mars).

9th lord is aspecting the 8th house – this can

cause the end of marriage through the spouse’s demise.

This shows that the husband may himself have been the root cause of the wife

Dear Visti,

Yes, It adds to other principles, and cannot consider isolate. In the 4th

example, yes he was the creator of problems. It was not secret marriage, but

her second marriage. On top of that, there are many factors such as Kantaka

Shani, afflicted UL in transit, and so many things worked. Finally in

vimsottari dasa, planets in 12th given the time.

This principle about the 12th house tends to cause continous marital problems,

spouse occurred due to the 8th house, and this also happens to be the 6th from

AL, causing herself to get into power.

 

Example-2 Chandrika Kumarathunga

Lets be abit more systematic: there is a Chara karaka replacement between

DK-Rähu and GK-Sun. There are two more between Moon (MK) and Jupiter (BK) and

Mercury (AK) and Venus (AmK).

Since Venus is in an enemy sign with its lord Mars, this cannot be a good
