Guest guest
Namaskar, I have a few questions regarding the role of various karakas in some of the classics: -Brihat Jataka says that for someone born in the day, the Sun becomes the pitrukaraka, and Venus the matrukaraka. For someone born at night, Saturn is pitrukaraka and Moon is Matrukaraka. -Then there is the Naisargika karakas - Sun and Moon for mother and father -And then there is the Charakarakas based on longitude! So how does on go about looking at the parents? Do we take the strongest of all of these, and base our results on those, or is it better to consider each one and include them all in the analysis? Maharishi Jaimini talks about the kalatrakaraka with reference to the wife, but I can't seem to find where it is described. How is it defined? Thank you, Samir
Guest guest
||Hare Rama Krsna|| Dear Samir, Namaskar BPHS also makes this statement. It is related to the circumstances at birth, and seeing what role the parrents plays in your life. But that’s as much as I wish to tell about this for now, as I myself have a few doubts on its full extent of usage – it works fine with see where the father was at the time of birth. The naisargika karakas are the ones to learn about the presence or lack of presence of the parrent in ones life. i.e. 9th lord from Sun shows the fathers presence whilst the 4th lord from Moon shows the mothers presence. If both are combust or severely afflicted, the native may loose their parents early, and there is a chance of adoption. It is ALSO from these naisargika karakas that we can decipher which planets are auspicious or inauspicious for the particular parrent. i.e. Rähus influence is very bad for the father (A9, 9th house and 9th lord), because the karaka for father is the Sun. But Rähu is not as bad for the Mother (4th house, 4th lord and A4), because the karaka is the moon. >From the Chara Karaka we can learn more about the overall nature of the relationship with the particular person, i.e. if Rähu is darakaraka, the marriage could happen very suddenly, and unexpectedly. Mars being pitrikaraka can show a competitive relationship with the father – like those families who like to exchange friendly slaps and punches. This is also shows the soul of the particular person, and how our own soul relates to theirs. i.e. see the placement of the matri karaka from the atmakäraka, i.e. is it placed in kendra, panaphara or apoklima? Kalatra Karaka is: Naisargika Karaka: Venus. Sthira Karaka: Jupiter for husband and Venus for wife Chara Karaka: planet with lowest degrees.
