Dear Kannan,

Some thoughts below…

=====================

Respected Nitinji,

Thank you very much for your reply. First of all I am a learner of

Astrology and my knowledge is very little, specially in Jaimini

Sutras.

[Via NK]

I am also a beginner, and have a lot to learn. Its good to for me as well to be

interacting in a forum of learning.

Till now I was considering Mars as my lagna lord and I had

completed Mars Mahadasa this year. As I assumed Mars being my Lagna

Lord though placed in a dushsthana, in his Moola Trikona sign and

having more strength due to Retrogression, the period of Mars was

good for me overall. Only in the first 2 months and last 2 months it

gave me much trouble otherwise Mars placed me in a good position in

life during his Dasa. My query is if we consider Ketu as my lagna

lord then Mars comes only as my 6th lord ?

[Via NK]

Consider Mars as the Lagna co-lord as well as the 6th Lord for Scorpio rising.

I don't know about the results of AL and for what purpose we look

into this.

[Via NK]

Arudha roughly translates into “mounting point,” and it is how the world or

yourself is being perceived. Whenm possible, try to get a hold of the book, and

read through it. There are a lot of treasures in it.

but in my case the difference is if Ketu is Lagna Lord

then Debiliated Retrograde Jupiter is in my AL. If Mars is my lagna

Lord then Exalted Mercury (AK)and 10th Lord Sun is in my AL. I

think a learned person like you can simply find out which one is my

AL by asking a few questions to me (if you have time).

[Via NK]

If the AL is in Capricorn, you are very hard working, perceived as quite

knowledgeable, or strive to do so (qualities of Jupiter.)

Since the Trines to Arudha give it direction, Mercury and the Sun indicate some

form of humor, communication skills, administrative skills, authority, etc.

(qualities of the Sun and of Mercury.)

If the 12th or the 7th from the AL has Rahu, the person is very spiritual.

If the 12th from the AL has the Moon in it, the person tries very hard tp

appease the Mother or Mother-figures, but may not be able to do so easily, and

this can cause a rift between these personalities.

For my knowledge purpose, how a planet joins another one gets more

strength? Suppose in my case Ketu (placed in 8th house) is afflicted

by Saturn and Rahu and according to you it has more strength than

Mars. How is this. Is this only because the theory says like that.

This is only for my understanding.

[Via NK]

Good questions. Sage Parasara has classified different types of strengths

depending on what one is looking for. This can be read further in Brihat

Parasara Hora Shastra.

For the Arudha calculation, as I have stated my understanding, the greater

number of planets with the co-lagna lord, will dominate in strength, compared to

the co-lagna lord sitting alone. Again, based on the chart and timings, the

other should not be dismissed, but should be examined as to when it rises. Some

more below

For more clarity I give below my particulars.

DOB : 25.9.1973

TOB : 11:29 AM

POB : Kottayam, Kerala, India

[Via NK]

Thanks. Notice Rahu’s Antar Dasa running, per Vimshottari. Are you feeling a

spiritual rise, or rejecting the unconventional…?

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Kannan

[Via NK]

I hope some of this helps. Perhaps other members can add more and the Gurus can

correct me where needed.

Best wishes and warm regards,

Nitin.

Dear Nitin Ji,

Namaste, and thank you very much for responding to my earlier

questions.

What, in your opinion, is the reason for spirituality when Rahu is

in the 7th or 12th from AL? In my own case, I know it is true, with

Rahu (incidentally also my AK and the lord of my janma nakshatra

Swati) in the 7th from AL, but I would like to understand the logic

behind this. Is this because Rahu in 7th means that Ketu is in the

AL and hence confers detachment? And since the entity in the 12th

causes loss, Rahu in the 12th causes the "loss" of the individual

Akamkaara, thereby merging the individual soul in the Supreme soul?

Thank you very much for your response.

Sreelatha

Dear Sreelatha,Namaskar

I remember reading in COVA that Rahu in 7th from AL causes extreme

sufferings

which in turn make person spiritual.

Incidently my AL also falls with Ketu and Rahu is placed in 7th from

it.

Rahu is natally in 4th house and after that loss of my mother last

month

whom I am was extremely attached to has made me look at spiritual side

of life quite profoundly. I am not sure though if its temporary or

its a beginning

of a different life itself.

These are just my views and I am sure Visti and Nitin will reply back

to

you with correct reasoning.

Sameer
