Hi Manish,

I think you can try. 8H is always worth a see to know such things. You have Ra

and Mo there; good start. Although 8L is in 6H from there, it aspects 8H.

Additionally, A8 has Ju's rasi aspect.

The road might be a wee bumpy because Me is too close to Su and Ma is your AK :\

If you're running the Ju dasa (I think you are), you should also be careful,

since it's 7L - and in 11H :\

Cheers,

Ramapriya

[sJC: Achyuta Gurukul] how to judge predictive ability?

Dear Visti ji:I am planning to take up a formal course in vedic astrology but I

am hesitant cause I am not sure if I will make a good astrologer. Can you see

my chart and suggest? I know basic principles of astrology since last 14 years

but cant be objective when judging my chart.Secondly, I am undergoing a lot of

changes since last two years. What planets could be responsible? My details are

as follows;ManishDate of birth 20 jan 1967time: 23:10Place : Muzaffarpur, India

(26N07, 85E23)with regards,Manish

Hi Ramapriya:

Thanks for your response.

I am wondering about the following:

1. Shouldn't one give primacy to Rasi Lagna (i.e. beginning from

sign with moon) for predicting future in the second half of a

subject's life (ref: BVRaman)?

2. Seventh house lord is suppose to be a Maraka (though not as

strong as the second house lord). In this case it is Jupiter. What

is the effect of an exalted Jupiter which is also a Maraka?

3. If Jupiter is significator for "Dhi", the esoteric knowledge, and

astrological prediction concerns application of Dhi, how would

jupiter's position in 11 (an upachaya and house of gain) and in

cancer (sign of exaltation) influence predictive ability?

I am not yet into Jupiter Dasa and wont be in it for another few

years.

regards,

Manish

Dear Manish,

Namaskar.

Sorry for butt in and hope you and Ramapriyaji will not mind for it.

Just giving a look into your chart , you are running Rahu MD and Rahu

placed in 8th makes you curious about occultism and as it placed with

11th L moon it shows (8+4) interest in Jyotish. In Karkamsa also Rahu

joins with AK mars and shows your strong desire to attain it.

Now coming to AD of sun placed in 10th from 8th(5th H) and make you

real working on this (upasanam of jyotish) and as it aspects Guru (V)

it shows your Kama (desire) to learn Daivee(Divine) shastras. Soon

you will enter in moon AD and moon is in 8th H and in vidyamsa and

vidyamsa L Jup is in 11th ,will definately give you real insights of

Jyotish Shastra. So you should go ahead and help others in divine way.

Now regarding your questions,

1) Why only moon? we have sun, moon and lagna. All three are imporant

and used as ref. Plus kendras, panfar and apoklims !!

2) Regarding Jup in Cn but Vakri and equal to Jup in Cp. Plus it's

Badhakesha. Read Sanjayji's article to get real info on this.

3) Jup(Karka) well placed in 11th(House of jyotisha) having

sukhargala of ketu on it, promote to study occult sciences but same

time it's obstructed by moon+rahu. Also in Cn due to it's Vakri

position jup is less effective. Hence you may have hindrances and

won't get mental satisfaction about your studies in jyotisha.

Besides this moon+rahu in 8th may show rise of kundalini by practice

of mantras and as you have mars as AK you may lead to yoga marga and

mars is 3rd and 8th L in Rasi placed in lagna hence you can hear the

voice of God by doing spiritual practices mainly. You can include

jyotisha as upasanam and can also have mantra siddhi.

All the Best.

( Dear Visti ji, pls rectify if required)
