2nd navamsa... etc"

What is meant by XYZ Ascendant, nth Navamsa ??

If Rasi ascendent is Scorpio and Navamsa Ascendent is Saggittarius, how to interpret it as above ?

division or division of 9; nava-amsa.

6th-Sagittarius, 7th-Capricorn, and so on.
