Guest guest
||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| Pranaam Ajay, glad you went through the article. Allow me to share some of my understanding… For the Ishta: The aspects to the 12th from the Karakamsa will lead one to the Ishta. 1. Since there is no planet there, take the ruler, Jupiter representing your Ishta. You will go through the planets of Venus, Mercury and Jupiter since they are all together in this one House in the Navamsa, exploring your Ishta. 2. As the Ishta and the AK sit together, there is revelation of a highly evolved jeevatman. 3. The Vimsamsa is the chart considered for one’s spirituality. Hope some of this helps. Nitin. || Namah Shivaaya || Pranaam Gurudev Choosing Deity: Ista deveta Now If you see my D-9 (Navmasa Chart): 28th march 1968 New Delhi at 11.00 pm Venus: Atman karaka co joins Amatya Karka Mercury in 7th house with Jupiter 12th from karakmasa is 6th house Piscean ruled by Jupiter. Now as per rule if there is no planet in the house than aspect of the signs to be used. Now the 6th house is aspect (Rashi Drishti) by 9th house mercury sign, 12th house again mercury sign and the third house Jupiter sign. Among these 3rd house is also Mantra Pada (A5) To be noted that among these lord Mercury is strongest since it is amatya karak also. Hence 1. Ista deveta Should be Mercury (Lord Vishnu)? 2. Does Mars in the 9th will have some influence on Ista deveta? 3. Being Piscean 12th from karakmasa, (among the natural moksha trine) does it should have a strong influence on the ista deveta? A visible urge for emancipation? 4. How does D-20 chart intervene in this? D20 also has mercury influence since it is 12th from Venus in D-20 chart. Please guide. Guest guest
Dear Nitin Ji, Namaste. Regarding the first point in your email, you told Ajay to take the ruler of the house since there is no planet in the 12th from Karakamsa. I've read other theories here, I hope you can clarify. One was that if there are no planets, to first consider any Rasi aspects on the 12th, and take the strongest planet in the Rasi with the strongest aspect as the Istha. If there are no planets in the Rasis that aspect, then take the ruler of the 12th house itself as the Istha. The other theory I read was very similar except that planetary aspects were considered, not Rasi aspects. The other theory was, as you say, to consider the ruler without considering the aspects, which has been my way so far. I look forward to your help on this matter, please do share your expertise with us. SIncerely, V.
