Dear Rafal,

Experiment if you like – but, that’s

not what I was taught.

When you calculate the Varga-Näräyaëa Dasa,

say for the D12; you take the 12th lord of the Räçi and see it in

the D-12. Then see the stronger of the sign occupied by that lord or the 7th

therefrom. Based on this you can decide whether to start from the Dasa sign or

the sign opposite it.
