Guest guest
Dear Jeyaram Namaskar. In your example, reading should be done in following manner. As Jup is natural benefic - i) it will do good to the matters of houses it is Occupying & aspecting. ii) if it is placed in good houses (1,2,4,5,7,9,10,11) - its Karakatattva (natural significance) also gets enhanced like (progeny, marriage, wealth, guru/bhagya as Jup is Natural karaka for 2nd, 5th, 9th & 11th house) iii) if it is placed in bad houses (3,6,8,12) - its Karakatattva gets diminished so hurdles w.r.t. matters governed by houses whose karaka is Jup. Exception is when it is owning the bad house & at the same time occupying it. As Jup is Functional malefic - i) if it is placed in good houses (as stated above) it will get the strength to increase the evil effects of the house(s) it Owns. ii) if it is placed in bad houses (as stated above) it will be weak to materialize the evil effects of the house(s) it Owns. Dushtana lord in Dushtana houses bring Vipreet Raj Yoga. I have gained this understanding by reading PVR's book and Imran Bhai's paper ' Natural & Functional Behaviour of Planets.pdf'. Hope it will help. regards Tushankur "Jeyaram" <jeyaram009@ vedic astrology .co.in> cc: [vedic astrology] Natural & Functional Nature 10/11/2004 07:15 Respected Gurus & List members, At what point of judging the horoscope should we consider the natural nature (benefic or malefic) of any planet and when should we consider functional nature (benefic or malefic) of the same planet ? Example: Jupiter is a strong natural benefic. For an Aquarius lagna native it is a functional malefic. While judging the horoscope when should we take the benefic nature of Jupiter and when should we consider malefic nature of the same ? Request learned list members to throw some light on the above.
