Relax Vinita,

When I meant 4 days, I meant from the time of birth! After 4-odd years of life,

Sa will behave as if it were direct in the chart and not retro.

Misunderstandings can occur both in conveyancing and comprehending, isn't it? I

left my comment at that because I thought you would figure it thereon.

Now to your queries themselves:

> 1. How does retrograde exalted saturn behave for Taurus lagna?

Sa will always be 9th lord and sometimes 10th lord too. While an exalted 9th

lord is generally desirable, it's a mixed blessing for a fixed-sign lagna, 9th

lord being a badhakesha. A strong 9th lord might possibly mean an obstruction

because of righteousness! Also, there are those here who sell that a retro

exalted planet is virtually a deb one; depends whether you want to buy that. I

don't.

> 2. What does retrograde saturn imply in terms of karma / past birth?

Sanjay has held that retro grahas indicate curses of the past life and who's

curse it is depends on the caste of the graha. I'm sure you'll deduce hereon.

> 3. Can the position of such a Saturn in 6th H be considered weak or strong -

beneficial or malefic?

There isn't much doubt that Sa, being stationary, is quite strong in your chart.

No, he can't be deemed a malefic as such but remains a badhaka nonetheless.

> 4. What will be the effect over time of the 3rd drishti of Saturn on 8th

House (saggitarius) containing Mars (retro) and Rahu? (Will it make these

planets behave better - mutate the evil influence during the MD of these

planets?).

Before you started to talk of it, I must confess to not having heard the

mutationary thing about Sa's 3rd drishti, so can't say. Ma in 3rd from Sa is

good anyways since it'd ultimately make them neutral to each other.

> 5. What is the influence of these placements on spiritual growth?

No idea.

> 6. What are the influences in the Chart that can be called promoters or

badhak to spiritual growth?

Ditto as above.

Cheers,

Ramapriya

[sJC: Achyuta Gurukul] Re: Achyuta Gurukul] Retrograde exalted saturn in 6th House

Respected Rampriya ji,There is an inability to attach the chart rather than any

unwillingness to do this. With all due respects I am not that much interested

to know what would happen to saturn four days from now. My interest is more

long term - more holistic than piecemeal - on the inluence of Saturn in the

Chart. I am really amazed at the kind of misunderstandings this is leading

to!!! Is astrology not about (reasons for?) unfolding of actual events in life

or is it all Maya / thought perceptions???Shall be ever grateful for your

comments on this.With regards,Vinita
