Guest guest
respected members, in continuation of the discussion about whether the child will be male or female, I have found that the method as given in the COVA to be mostly accurate, that is; 1. the saptamsa lagna being either an odd or even sign determines the direction 2. the fifth, seventh, ninth houses etc. from saptamsa lagna in the given direction gives the order of children, ie. first issue, second issue, third issue etc. 3. the lords of these houses are then examined, and their conjunction with other grahas, exchanges with other grahas, or signs they are placed in, reveals whether the child will be a male or female. For example; 2:30am, 7 Jan 1975, Auckland, New Zealand, (DST 13.00) Rasi Lagna: Tula, Saptamsa Lagna: Mina. Pisces is an even sign, so counting in the reverse the ninth house shows the first child. Its lord Mars is in Libra with no other planets, showing a boy. The second child will be the seventh house, and its lord mercury is in Cancer alone, showing another boy. All three signs mentioned Pisces, Libra, Cancer are fruitfull signs, and according to Sanjay, represent healthy young male progeny. This may help overcome the fact that Mercury and Saturn are in trines alone, which would usually not allow children. I have found that male charts are more often correct using this system, and I wondered if perhaps when using female charts the order the saptamsa lagna indicates, should be reversed. Would appreciate any further findings about this matter. respectfully, Michal.
