First child: 5 th house lord of saptamsa if debilitated sex is

female, if exalted sex is male, if with male planets sex is male, if

with female planets sex is female.

 

Second child: same rule but 3 rd house lord from 5th house.

 

For saptmsa lagna in even sign count clockwise otherwise

anticlockwise.

 

I used this rule in many charts and it does not work. And as Visti

said there are many other riders to be considered.

 

In fact an example in COVA to find the sex of a child has an error. I

know of few others who have used different ayamsa's to check the same

rule but of no avail.

 

I also know of few others who used the same rule but good results by

reversing sex if the 5th house crosses the rahu-ketu axis.

 

Bottom line this area requires lot of research.
