Guest guest
Hi Hamendra, - "hamendra_c" <hamendra_c > <> Sunday, May 02, 2004 5:12 PM [sJC: Achyuta Gurukul] Retrograde planets???????(Please help) > 1.Some scholars are of the view that A benefic planet in > exaltation ,retrograde motion behaves as DEBILITATED. > 2.Some scholars say that a malefic,Retrograde planet, which is > debiliated and is vargottama will behave as EXALTED. I kind of don't look the gurus in the eye on this one. There is most often delays in fructification whenever planets are retro, but that's about it. To deem an exalted planet as deb just because it's retro is a bit rich, frankly. And I say that having particularly examined charts from this angle. There's also this interesting view that a retro planet will behave like it's direct in as many years after birth as the days it takes to turn direct, when reckoned from your natal chart. You'll have heard Ramadas extol this thing here. I recall Sanjay having made the point somewhere that retro planets confer a 'strength to overcome', so to speak. Couldn't agree more. > 3.I read on shri K.N rao's website that retrograde benefics shed > their benefic nature. > > QUERY > > 1.Now what i want to know is that how will RETROGRADE MALEFICS(i.e. > functional malefic as well as malefic by basic nature) FUNCTION IN A > CHART?Will they shed their malefic nature just like RETRO BENEFICS > shed their beneficial nature. How can grahas' innate characteristics alter just because of retrogression? > 2.What about those planets that are NATURAL BENEFICS AND FUCNTIONAL > MALEFICS IN CHART?how willl they behave if they are RETRO?Will they > shed their malefic nature?(e.g when Jupiter has kendradhipati dosha > in a chart ,how will it behave if it is retrograde? Ditto as above. > 3.Lastly what about those planets which are Natural malefics but > become FUNTIONAL BENEFIC IN A CHART AND ARE RETROGRADE?E.g Saturn in > GEMINI LAGNA? You could consider Sa to be Ge's functional benefic only when it owns Aq. And even then, being in asc isn't the best place for Sa, since it'd be low in digbala.
