Dear Kaimal, Namaskar.

I'm preparing a paper on Spirituality and use of Vimsamsa, which i expect to

present on the East Coast this Summer.

Whilst the 2 benefics in 6th from AL are making you a good and god-fearing

person, the dispositor Mars is going to try and make you move towards material

persuits, not spiritual.

Problem is actually the relationship between the Sun and Lagna lord, as they are

in 2/12 from each other. This gives a problem in timing, causes rejection,

ignoring, etc the path of supreme knowledge - the Sun. Hence spirituality will

be tough to come by. The hope comes with the dispositors of both being joined -

Mercury and Venus, hence you should strengthen these two planets to strengthen

your Yoga for spirituality. As this is in the Rasi, these planets will

specifically strengthen your physical Yoga towards spirituality. You will find

that the Navamsa dispositor of the Sun is Saturn himself. Thats why you have

come to a spiritual field - bhagya. Hence strengthening the Lagna lord - Saturn

will naturally bring you to this field but to make your personal yoga with

spirituality stronger, you must strengthen Mercury and Venus.

Dear Vistiji,

I think you for your kind elaboration of the chart.Since the matter relates to

Dharma and spirituality,should we look at the D9 also for support to such

combinations in D1?

In my case,eventhough 2 benefics are in the 6th from AL,the Lord of AL and the

depositer of these 2 benefics is Mars and is Neecha and afflicted by Rahu.Is it

the reason why I am not able to make much progress in the path of spirituality?

In D9,my Lagna,AL and Jup are in mutual trines and Moon and Ketu are are in the

6th from AL.How should I read them?

This is my reply to your chart specifically.Thankyou for your blessings may the

New Year grant a happy and satisfying life.

 

If you remember the life of Srila Prabhupada and Swami Vivekananda, they were

not born saints. Vivekananda was going to get married, and 1 day before the

date of marriage, his father died and all arrangements were cancelled. He then

went jobless for about 1 year or so, after which he finally decided to learn

under his Guru fulltime. So first the relationships vanished (venus) then his

job situation also vanished (Mercury), finally because of the strength of these

graha AND his Yoga for spirituality, he went on the spiritual path.

 

Srila Prabhupada experienced the same thing, more or less. His spouse did not

die, but he ended up leaving his spouse due to his dissatisfaction, and in his

job he was cheated left and right and established one factory after the other,

leaving them in ruins.Here the strength of the Grahas AND his Yoga for

spirituality ensured that he went on the spiritual path. Had there been no Yoga

for spirituality, he would not have taken up the spiritual path, instead he

would have remained defeated in all spheres of life.

 

Now where is your Yoga for spirituality? See the relationship between your Lagna

lord and the Sun. Capricorn and Aquarius Lagnas are very difficult for

spirituality, especially Capricorn who needs physical proof of God otherwise he

will simply not accept it. Sankaracharya has Capricorn Lagna, what made him

start believing? Figure it out, and then you will certainly start believing

too.

Dear Visti and Kaimal,

 

I would like to give another approach too if you all dont mind.

 

First study the person. Say for example if the person is very money

minded person maybe his 11th house has very high points in SAV and

maybe his lagna points in SAV are say more than 35 bindus so the

person is very stubborn or adament.

Now if Such a person goes through a phase where maybe he looses his

source of income and say a long antra in a long mahadasha is running

for example Venus/Venus which can last for say 40 months and at the

same time his expenses are high then such a person will think of

God.. and if along with that the next antra is also giving not much

home of income then such a person might start to become spiritual.

 

Another case, if a person is very health concious and he falls ill

and a long antra is running again say Venus/Venus (MD/AD) so person

is not recovering.. this may make a person think of god and turn

spiritual.

 

Some persons may take life casually and when they meet with an

accident (7th house matter) or NDE (near death experience) they tend

to also become spiritual and start to see life in a different picture

or prespective.

 

Some persons go through a divorse and turn spiritual.

 

Someone like Lord Buddha sees some disturbing sights and it makes him

go to seek the truth and turn spiritual.....

 

Someone like Ashoka has to see the sight of hundres of thousands of

dead persons to make his realise and turn spiritual.....

 

So there can be any event that may happen that can cause a person to

become spiritual.

 

Also if you study the chart of a spiritual person you will see that

his life has been a bed of thorns which very well might be self

chosen.

 

 

Generally, as as a thumb rule when a persons gets things his way and

money and comfort and health he very rarely remembers god or a

doctor. Its only during more difficult times that he turns towards

god.
