Since the subject of gems is being brought up. Can anyone of the many

qualified jyotish pandits here recomend a stone for a malefic venus?

I'm a taurus ascendent with venus in the 8th.

Dear filmerchung,

Although Venus has mixed quality for Taurus ascendent as lord of 1

and 6, as lagna lord Venus is beneficial. If the lagna is weak then

the native may experience general problems like low vitality,

difficulty in expressing oneself, lack of confidence, and lack of

recognition. The lagna lord in the 8th house has some good effects

however, such as gains from insurance companies, spiritual

tendencies, success in occult and yoga practices, but bad in

general. Health problems come from weak grahas concerning those

areas ruled over by the graha. Venus in 8 is good for long life and

wealth. This is not typical for grahas in a dusthana. Venus aspects

the second and also wealth from spouse can be expected, if no other

influences cancel. Venus in Sagittarius is not in an enemies sign as

Jupiter is naturally friendly to Venus. There can be sexual diseases

and uninary problems if Venus is afflicted. If Venus is afflicted

here, it can cause addictions and bad sexual behavior. Check for

aspects from natural malefics Mars, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu to Venus.

Aspects from Mercury and Jupiter may compensate some. Weakness of

Venus for Taurus can make the 6th house weak also. Sixth lord in the

8th house brings bad health and jobs and enemies and cancels the good

effects gained generally from Venus in the 8th house. Most likely

this will vary from good to bad depending upon what house is

activated.

 

If these signs of weak Venus occur, and during Venus dasha,

strengthening Venus by wearing a diamond or white sapphire can help.

Also mantra or stotra for Shukra or Lakshmi or Lalita is beneficial.
