Guest guest
Dear Anando, Yes the status of a planet can change in divisional charts; d-1 remains the overriding reflection, nonetheless, and shouldn't be ignored. Since each d-chart relates to a specific area of life, a planet's beneficence or maleficence would obviously be pertinent to that sphere. Take as an example someone with a Vi asc in d-1 and Cn asc in d-10. The effect of Ma for the native's career (as far as his achievements and career go) would be dramatically different from its effect overall. This I think is one of the major reasons why gem prescriptions are limited to planetary indications of d-1. In the earlier example, unless Ma in d-1 is favorably placed (say, in 10th with Su, forming a vry), wearing a coral wouldn't be in the least advisable. And you're right about the paksha thing. Like retrogression, some things just can't be reckoned from d-charts, case-by-case - not unless one's ready for nonsensical results. BASED ON THE LAGNA CHANGING IN THE VARGAS, THE 22ND DREKKANA, 64TH NAVAMSA WOULD CHANGE AND WOULD ALTER THE CHARACHTER OF A GRAHA FROM SAY - A MERE 4TH LORD TO KHARESH! IF THE RASI WAS THE SOLE DETERMINOR THEN THE KHARESH WOULD NEVER HAVE SUCH A STRONG SAY IN A PERSONS LIFE. OR TAKE THE LORD OF THE 2ND HOUSE IN THE SOMMANATH DREKKANA. SUCH A GRAHA WOULD NEVER BE INCLINED TO GIVE MARRIAGE, NO MATTER WHERE IT IS PLACED IN THE RASI CHART. IN THIS WAY ONE SHOULD WEIGH THE VARGAS ESPECIALLY THE DREKKANA, NAVAMSA AND SHASTYAMSA. HENCE BECAUSE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF THE VARGA, YOUR DASAMSA EXAMPLE IS STILL VALID. > And you're right about the paksha thing. Like retrogression, some things just can't be reckoned from d-charts, case-by-case - not unless one's ready for nonsensical results. VISTI: THE NONSENSE ARISES FROM THE JYOTISHI NOT JYOTISH ITSELF. PLEASE READ SARVATHA CHINTAMANI AND JATAKA PARIJATA SINCERELY TO UNDERSTAND THE DEPTH OF THE VARGAS AND HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF THE RASI. RASI IS DEFINITELY EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, BUT ONLY TO A CERTAIN POINT, AFTER WHICH VARGAS ARE NECESSARY. > Cheers, > > Ramapriya > > - > "anando63" <anandobanerjee@h...> > <> > Friday, March 26, 2004 6:10 PM > [sJC: Achyuta Gurukul] Does planet status change in divisional charts? > > > > Namaskar, > > > If a planet has malefic status in the D-1 chart (e.g. Jupiter in a quadrant), can the status change in other D charts?
