Namaskar,

This is really long if you have the patience.

I would really appreciate help on the following problem regarding my

wife, Chameli's, date/time of birth. These are the records/claims I

have thus far:

1. Chameli was born on Asthami day of Durga Puja after Pushpanjali

(that should be after 11a.m.). Relatives confirm that she was born in

1965. As far as I can ascertain, Durga Puja Asthami in 1965 would

have been on 3rd October (could be wrong). She was born at Bela

Tikri, 6 miles away from Jhargram (22n27, 86e59, GMT+5:30), India.

2. She is the youngest of 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Eldest brother

expired before the others were born, rest are all living on date.

3. Passed H.S. in 1985. Did 2 years of B.A. but did not continue

after failing 2nd year (1987).

4. Chameli lost her father on 24-Jun-1984 11:59pm.

5. Got married to me on 17-Jan-1994. Married life: very loving,

cooperative and supportive of each other with below-normal quota of

quarrels.

6. Our only daughter till date born on 30-Apr-1995 at Kolkata

(Calcutta).

7. Visited Malaysia with me in Dec-2001.

8. Luxury-ship cruise (from Singapore) with me in Nov-2002.

My (husband's) date and time of birth is also suspect but here are

the details anyway:

Born 14-Aug-1963 at 1:24a.m. at Bhatpara, West Bengal, India (88E24,

22N52).

Since I do not want my details to confuse or misinterpret Chameli's

chart, I would request all (who have the time/patience) to take this

as an approximate reference only.

I, personally, have just started learning about Vedic Astrology

(better late than never) and am, obviously, not in a position to

rectify Chameli's birth details or prepare her chart. At this stage,

I am still acquiring the books and reading a lot and I plan to

approach a guru pretty soon. But, as the great Sri Ramakrishna

advised: "Verify the guru very well first, then place blind faith

without question for the rest of your life".

My reason for posting my question here: I am looking for impartial,

learned research and analysis (preferably with the working steps) on

an average non-celebrity native which, I feel, is what Vedic

Astrology is all about but which, unfortunately, has been corrupted

by many so-called astrologers just out to earn a living from

concerned people. Of course, the 80-20 rule does apply in everything.

So, having accepted that, I am searching for the 20% input that gives

the 80% output.

I do have Jagannatha Hora Lite free version and am computer/internet-

savvy. I have also downloaded lots of spreadsheets, templates,

charts, articles, etc. and am quite pleasantly confused with which-

does-what. I say pleasantly because I am actually finding it

pleasurable to go bleary-eyed through all the material that is

available and with each new "confusion" my gut-feeling of "getting-

closer-to-I-don't-know-what" is growing stronger and stronger.

Looking forward to some good honest responses which, I know, exists

out there (or is it in here??). Anyway, before I confuse everybody

else,

Namaskar.

Anando Banerjee
