The planet-deity association is regarded as follows: Sun-Shiva Mon-Gauri Mars-Kartikeya Mer-Vishnu Jup-Shiv Ven-Lakshmi Sat-Vishnu Rah-Durga Ket-Ganesh (please do correct me if I am wrong) In that case which mantras/rituals should be recited/performed for the deitis as some (like Shiva) have numerous mantras associated whereas some (like Gauri) have less well-known mantras.
