Lets have

birth details to see the chart. In general, we go back to the placement of

Jupiter in the Rasi (that’s where all the rules of Prasna Marga will apply). The

placement from Lagna and AL make a difference.

Dear Jyotisha's

and Guru's

I wish you could explain a bit about this Palana Devata concept which I had

read in the Jaimini sutra. It said that the 6th from Amatya Karaka will show our

palana devata which deity will protect and prosper us in the material world. Is

the deity is always a female deity? I'm asking because I have read that this

deity will always nurture and protect us like a mother.

In my case, I had Guru in the 6th from Amatya Karaka(Sukra). Guru is placed in

Scorpio navamsa. In Rasi Kundali Guru is exalted and and in Vimsamsa Guru is

debiliated and in conjuction with exalted Mangal in the 8th house. How to

determine the deity for Guru. And also please explain to me what is the

difference between this Palana Devata and Dharma Devata which is 9th from Atma

Karaka.

Thanks & Regards.

Hare Krsna!
