Guest guest
Good evening to all of you, I am a new student from Spain: Any body Knows what happens when the 12th house from Jupiter Navamsa is empty ? My Ishta Devata would be in Taurus (12th house from Jupiter in the Navamsha), the sign is empty but ruled by Venus;Venus navamsa is in Sagitarius; is Venus the planet of the Deity then ? Any mantra ? I feel a great devotion for Lord Krishna. Thank you
Guest guest
hamsassoham Dear Sarbani et al, I have been taught to worship Annapurneshwari in order to ask for compassion, ensuring that basic needs are met, and not for extravagance. We supplicate to her and request/beg for alms/food as a child does to a mother. Hence the stotra's constant refrain is "bhikshaam dehi...maataannapurneshvari". I agree that bounty (of food etc) is represented by Shri, but I did not consider Annapurneshwari to be in this category. Perhaps I am mistaken. ajit , "Sarbani Sarkar" <sarbani@s...> wrote: > Dear Ajit, Rao and others, > > The Moon represents the Divine Mother in her ubiquitous all pervading form. > Mother Mary will also be represented by the Moon, so as all the forms of the > Devi as we worship her. Guest guest
hamsassoham Dear Sarbani, You had translated annapurna as a bounty of food. This didn't sound quite right, so I took out my dictionary. puurNa also means "filled with tears" or compassion. Thus, she is one who gives food out of compassion. In my opinion, this is a better meaning. She is the one that feeds a poor (ignorant) child out of compassion. Disclaimer: my dictionary translation may be off the mark. ajit , "Ajit Krishnan" <astro@m...> wrote: > hamsassoham > > Dear Sarbani et al, > > I have been taught to worship Annapurneshwari in order to ask for > compassion, ensuring that basic needs are met, and not for > extravagance. Guest guest
||Hare Rama Krsna|| Dear Mulund, Namaskar Jupiter is debilitated, so Sun will dominate indicating Shiva. Ask the person to recite: Namah Shivaaya. Best wishes, font-weight:bold"> color:#99CC00;font-weight:bold">Visti Larsen Verdana;color:#99CC00"> color:#99CC00">http://srigaruda.com color:#99CC00">visti (AT) srigaruda (DOT) com font-family:Verdana;color:#4E81C4"> font-family:Tahoma;font-weight:bold">Mukund [mukundys (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net] 07 January 2005 04:29 [Om Krishna Guru] Ishta Devata 12.0pt"> font-family:"Courier New""> Dear Guruji's, I have a doubt in finding the ishta devata. This is the horoscope I am examining. Venus is the Atmakaraka and is placed in 12th house in the rasi chart. In navamsa, the placements are as follows Lagna=kataka 2nd house=Mercury and ketu (Simha) 4th house=Saturn and Moon (Tula) 7th house=Jupiter and Saturn (Makara) 8th house=Venus and Rahu (Kumbha) 12th house=Mars (Mithuna) So, as venus is the AK, 12th house from venus will be 7th house which has Sun and Jupiter. Now, how can I decide which is stronger? As 7th lord is Saturn, Sun would be weak being enemy, whereas Jupiter is neutral to Saturn. Is this sufficient or should I look at the power of planet (shad bala)? If Jupiter is stronger then who is the Ishta devata? Through whom will show this person know the Ishta Devata? Please explain. Thank you Regards Mukund ~ om tat sat ~ 10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New""> Thank you for maintaining the decorum of the Achyuta Ashram. Reminders: (1) Recite the Shadakshari Mantra 'Hare Rama Krishna' (2) Try to become Vegetarian - remember Akbar the Great who said that the human stomach should not become a graveyard for animals.
