Dear S.Prabhakaran Ji,

Thanks for answering to my questions.

Honestly, I can not think of any good answer, can you

please tell me why is that way. Also, the reasons behind

the Nakshatra lordships.

Dear Rao,

Notice that the order of the Nakshatra rulers is that of the

Vimsottari Dasa. Thir pattern repeats three times to span the

Nakshatras. It is divided into 3 parts of 120 degrees. If you are

using another Dasa system you could then try assigning the rulers

according to the order used in that Dasa system. For example for

Shodasottari Dasa you could try using the order:

Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Ketu, Moon, Mercury, Venus, (No Rahu)

The problem with this methods is that most dasa systems other than

Vimsottari have less than 9 grahas so are not generally applicable.

I have no knowledge of the method of assigning the grahas to the

nakshatras for any other dasa system, recommended in any scripture.

If you assign less than 9 grahas to the 27 nakshatras, then how will

you assign them equally?

Dear dhamakesin,

Thanks for your replies, It makes some sense, but still I am

unable to understand why Ashvini,Magha and Mula are ruled by

Ketu, what is the reason behind that, why not Sun or other

planet, you see my doubt.

That is what I am not able to understand yet.

My understanding, from the AIVS course I studied, written by Dr.

David Frawley, is as follows:

The three nakshatras ruled by a planet have (1) rajasic nature, that

is generating quality, (2) tamasic nature, that is the form taken,

and (3) sattvic nature, that is the culmination. Each of the fire

signs begins with a rajasic nature nakshatra, that of generation or

beginning: Ashwini, Magha, and Mula correspond to the Ashwins, the

Fathers (Pitris) and Goddess of Destruction (Nirriti). The

connection to Ketu is that Ketu rules beginnings, and the void

behind manifestation.

Ketu in Aswini causes hesitation, leading to self questioning or

self assertion.

Ketu in Magha causes doubt, leading to our self identity and

personal history.

Ketu in Mula causes deep doubt or self identity, leading to critical

self-righteousness or critical introspection.
