 I have passed through atmakarak dasha shani, actually I was born i atmakarak

dasha shani. It was the most eventful and difficult dashas in my life. I

could have died in childhood, since I was born with bronchial astma.. See

Rahu in Navamsa Lagna in virgo and aspecting lagna and lagna lord in rashi.

I was a serious child )) how strange in shani dasha??? and wanted my parents

to explain everything.(typical of Dhanu Lagna), I must have brought them

a lot of headache. I was born with extreme talents for playing music and

went to a musical school and went in for sports at the age of 7. Years of

hard training and discipline.. I was the best student in school with a lot

of burden.. My mother could have died a few times in this dashas due to allergy

( on food /medicines). I felt isolated and like dropped from the sky into

this life...At shani mahadasha-rahu antardasha I experienced a major turnout

in life.. I got some illness of knees and had to stop with sports ( I thought

it was going to be my future career) I was given some medicines/therapy which

prevented further growth in height which was dangerous.. Doctors even thought

of danger of being paralized.. It was a real shock (rahu). My professor from

music school wanted me to go abroad for studing music, which I rejected...

At school, brilliant as usual.. I got many rewards on various competition..

I got even the first place on the competition of astronomy in Shani mahadasha-Rahu

antardasha.. IMAGINE THE THEME????  My paperwork was about Saturn's rings:))))))!

 At Shani mahadasha, guru antardasha I went abroad for a longer time.. My

interest in phylophy started.. I was reading frantically.. All things, religion,

phylosophy etc.. I wanted to meditate but didn't know how.. I felt helpless...

It took me three years of search for meditation or prayer but of no avail..

Somehow I knew I needed Guru.. At the very beginning of budha mahadasha,

I found my guru.. So shani didnot even let me do so.. Throughout this dasha,

I felt lonesome, isolated, serious and aware of some higher purpose.. Even

as a child I used to talk to a wind and river, which my parents found utterly

strange and worring..Actually, I may say that it was the grace of Shani which

through its very painful ways brought me here where I am...

 

Being born in Jupiter Dasa with Venus and Moon(AK) in Vishakha ruled

by Jupiter meant that during the Jupiter period I would experience the effects

of VENUS and MOON. They are said to sit on the head of the Dasa ruler.

 

The Atmakaraka period is a time of great suffering if our path is not

spiritually directed and this I can certainly say I have experienced. 

The most significant turning point of my life came during the Dasa

of SATURN/JUPITER/MOON. 

Saturn Dasa ran from 1961 to 1980 and brought many problems with school,

teachers, home, family, siblings, substance abuse and all relationships. 

Saturn rules slavery and I certainly was enslaved to the pursuit of

pleasure which never materialised. 

During the Dasa of SA/JU/MO three major events happened that transformed

(SA lord of 8th) my life and set me on a spiritual path.

1. Due to excessive abuse of substances I was introduced to a 12-step

program

2. My 4th youngest sibling died in an accident.  This can be read

from the D3 where the planet that rules my sister Irene is the MOON and is

placed in the 22nd Drekkanna. 

3. I broke up with My partner of 5 years 

There were other events also but these were the most significant and

the key point related to your question was that the ATMAKARAKA MOON was

influencing all of Dasa lords being conjoined Saturn, ruling Jupiter

and in the Nakshatra, Vishakha ruled by Jupiter. 

 

1980 brought Mercury Dasa and for the first time I was interested

in spending  time learning about life but it was a slow process as

my mind was very disturbed. With professional help I succeeded in letting

go most of my more destructive addictions and my love of occult knowledge,

including western astrology, continued to grow.  My career and study

in business management started from this time with ME in 7th house

in D10 and during ME/RA (who is in Nakshatra of Venus, 5th lord in D10 I

left job to start own business) 

Another major event that had the AK MOON influence  was the birth

of my son during MERCURY/MOON/JUPITER.

In D7 the MOON rules the sign associated with the child and is conjoined

VENUS in Aries who is in an exchange with MARS in Taurus, hence I

have a son who is very popular (Moon) handsome (Venus) and plays every

sport (Mars).

 

Ketu (in 12th) Dasa introduced me to Vedic Astrology, brought me to

India, to Sanjay in KE/MOON (AK) and KE/RA to teaching Vedic Philosophy 

 

The upcoming Venus Dasa, at f

irst glance, looks very promising with Venus in its own sign in the

4th house. While it is likely to give me a comfortable home/car, it

is

influenced by the AK also as MOON and VENUS are both at the same

degree in Libra and therefore are conjoined in most Vargas.

The Dasa lord takes on the nature of those he conjoins. 

The other interesting aspect of the next 20 years is that MARS (5/10

lord) and RAHU (8th) are both conjoined in the Nakshatra PURVASHADHA

ruled by VENUS which indicates that their issues will become important

during this time.  This might suggest that the AK (Moon) will be determined

(Mars) to do service (6th) through my work (10th) with students (5th)

on foreign (Rahu) occult knowledge (8th) in Ireland, my home (4th).

 

 This is only some

of the significations that can be gleaned from my chart and I hope

it can be of help in the learning process

What's wrong with talking to wind, oh I love that a lot!!!

I wa born in Me MD and spoke in 1st year, learnt to read in 5th, because I was

sick spasm /seems same, or maybe our parents were similar- and was talking 'to

my friend' imaginary one.. 'who,lived in my head'. parents have ver lost

/wrong/ impression that I was special 'child' so my yealous brother was pulling

my hair in revenge whenever my parents were not around- Badhakesh worked from

my early age-
