A slight correction. In my analysis i said Mercury was in Cancer Trimsamsa -

This cannot be so, and i was using the wrong Trimsamsa chart. Instead Mercury

is in Vayu trimsamsa causing Vata Dosha, as Sanjay mentioned.Best

Dear Mofie,

Almighty is all merciful. Faith can move mountains. The case presented by you

has twin problems. One is the sufferings of the boy and the other is the

sufferings of the mother/parents who are experiencing the

putra-sokha(sufferings related to the progeny).

Let me make an attempt in analysing the chart. Thula lagna rises with ketu in

it. At the time of birth the native was running the vimsottari dasa of Mars,

antardasa of buda and ketu pratyantar dasa. This ketu is found placed in 12th

in Shastyamsa chart. Shodasottari and dwadasottari dasas are the two

conditional dasas applicable in this case. Venus the governor of dwadasottari

dasa sheme is placed in 7th to Mars who is the AK and is applicable in this

case. This venus is not only the lord of lagna but also the lord of 8th in this

case. This venus has exchanged house with buda and because of this exchange is

also influenced by the badhaka Sun who is also placed in 8th house. As per the

dwadasottari dasa scheme the native commenced his janma with Rahu dasa and Moon

pratyantar dasa. In the shasthamsa(D-6) chart we find these two planets placed

in the 8th house. As per dwadasottari the native is currently running the dasa

of AK Mars.

Let us briefly analyse his shastyamsa chart. Kataka lagna arises with the lord

of lagna placed in 8th house indicating dust marana yoga. Mars and Sun

influence the AL which is subject to the aspect of Sani, Rahu, Buda and Guru

who is under the grip of Ketu(affliction to DHI). The lord of 3rd house Buda is

afflicted by Sani and Rahu and the 3rd house is afflicted by Sun and Mars.

Affliction to Buda indicate curse of Maternal uncle and affliction to Mars

indicate curse of Brother. The 3rd from AL is under the influence of Venus

which indicate that the native was aware of his death which gives a subtle hint

that it might be on account of suicide also.

Let us come back to the current incarnation. Guru is currently transitting the

7th from Moon and AL and is influencing the dasanatha Rahu and lagna.

Pratyantar dasa of Sani who is lord of 4th house in trimsamsa is currently in

progress. The following remedial measures are therefore suggested.

1. Kethu is placed in 12th to AK. Since the current dasa is of Mars as per

dwadasottari it is better to worship Lord Ganesha. Mercury represents the

prithvi tatwa. Make ganesha out of clay and offer all upachara(all the

treatment offered to a royal guest/guest of honor). Pray fervently for speedy

recovery of the boy.Immerse the ganesha idol after the third day's worship(this

is a practice in India). The other way is to offer a Ganesha idol to any temple

for installation and regular worship.

2.Observance of chathurthi vratha(mother can observe this fast). Buda is

incidentally the mathru karaka in this chart.

3.Look into the chart of Mother and find out the concerned planet representing

as Putrakaraka. Find out the planet strongly influencing the 12th house from

the concerned karaka(puthra karaka in this case)to identify the ruling deity of

that planet. Select the suitable mantra of that deity and worship/chant for the

prescribed time, sitting in front of a lamp lit. After that, keeping the lamp

as sakshi/witness, the mother may give the son in adoption to the deity

concerned. This(stepping down from the grade of parents to that of a guardian)

will remove the chaya/karma of mother/parents added to the boy on account of

ownership. Thereafter the boy and the parents though they may remain together,

the boy as well as the parents loose all the adhikara/right over each other.

4.For giving the boy in adoption(act of surrender) to the deity the mother needs

great inner strength. For this ask her to pray to her ishta devatha. Ask her to

keep chanting with firm faith and with a sankalpa that the boy should be cured.

Planting holy trees and plants(pipal/tulsi) and construction of well/reservoir

for public welfare will help removing the curses mentioned above.

When the faith and devotion are being tested let us fight it out with

determination/vairaghya and conviction. Please remember the stand taken by

Dhraupati in the court of Duryodhana - raising both her hands above her head

she pleaded for help from the lord - let us remember, it was her conviction

that the lord alone can help, came to her rescue.
