Guest guest
SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM JAGAT AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Mofie, The moment you surrender to the Lord all curses vanish. Do not worry. What i understand from your birth data is that Rahu has a definite role to play in your life. As per conditional dasa scheme of Sage Parasara Shodasottari dasa is applicable. Rahu is the Governor of the scheme. This Rahu is placed in the 9th house and is also the Atmakaraka. In Navamsa he is placed in the 12th house with Gulika and in Mrityupada in Makara. Sani the co-lord of lagna is placed in 9th with referene to Karakamsa. This gives a hint that on account of chanting unsuitable Mantras and disregard to one's Guru, self-destruction(Sani is placed in 8th with reference to Lagna) and mental depression is possible. What does placement of Rahu in 9th indicate? 9th is the house of Guru who is the abode of Dharma. Rahu here indicates adharma which will cause the displeasure of Guru. Buda is placed in the 10th house. Incidentally Buda is your Guru(BK). Your Mantra pada is in Pisces. Guru will enter Kanya around August/September 2004. Look forward to meet your Guru who will be a devotee of Lord Krishna/Avatara of Vishnu during this period. You are currently running the Narayana dasa of Mesha whose lord is placed in Badaka Kshetra. Your AK Rahu is placed in the 6th with reference to the Mesha/Aries(you are not comfortable with the present dasa period. With reference to the dasa rasi Budha is placed in 7th which is not favourable. No sooner Pisces Narayana takes over(Oct.2005), than the things would definitely improve. Ketu is placed in Pisces. This Ketu will tend to reverse the trends of Rahu in the chart. Chant "OM KRISHNA GURU" as much as you can. You will be able to find your Guru. This Pisces dasa which is placed in the 3rd with reference to your lagna will definitely help you grow. By June 2005' your Aquarius Sudasa will also commence the needed financial improvement and recognition will spring forth/surface then. Also light a lamp for Ganesha everyday(ketu and Mars aspect the lagna placed in the 12th karakamsa). You will be able to steer clear of your mental blocks inconnection with marital mishaps and Maya related to bondages(UL placed in 12th to AL and ketu placed in 2nd to UL). Best wishes. Guest guest
Dear P.S. Ramanarayanan, Thanks for pointing out the Shodasottari dasa scheme and I'm grateful for your kind advise towards me.Can I confirm something regarding the Shodasottari dasa? In this dasa Rahu is not involved as the mahadasa lord, am I right? As per BPHS the method to count this is to count the number of nakshataras from Pushyami to birth nakshataras and divide the same by 8.The remainder will point out the dasa of planet in order of Sun, Mars,Jupiter, Saturn,Ketu,Moon,Mercury and Venus. Now my question is why Rahu is not included in this dasa scheme? What is there reason maybe and what is the significant thing about Pushyami Nakshatara here(this asterism is where Guru is exalted and and it's belong to Shani)? Is there any special reason which as a student I may benefit from? Can any guru enligthen me or give me some reference? Sorry if I ask anything weird here.I just wanna know (maybe some mystical reason) behind it. thanks and regards.. Mofie Augustine P.S. Guest guest
SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM JAGAT AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Mofie, i shall try to answer your questions. It is only an attempt. In general Rahu is considered as Rudra. Rahu is the chief governor of the dasa and all the other planets act under his governorship. It is not necessary that he should engage himself in the actual implementation of his schemes. Pushyami is ruled by Brihaspati(nakshatra devatha). This is the starting point for the shodasottari dasa scheme. This means the dasa starts with Simha Navamsa and ends with Kataka navamsa. What are the special conditions applicable for the scheme? They are Paksha and Hora. Both are related to the luminaries. When you say that Rahu is the chief governor of the scheme it brings the luminaries and Rahu into focus(age old feud - kshira sagara mantan - amrita - complaint - slaying of the asura). As both the parties(devas and asuras) who on realisation of their mistake of not taking the amrita first to Lord Shiva( who was kind enough to drink the poison on their behalf) visited the Kailash on the day of Triyodashi twilight(Pradosha) period seeking mercy and to forgive them for their mistake, it is felt that Pradosha worship should generally be done by all those who come under this dasa scheme. Let us go a bit deeper. Guru is called as the Jeevaha. Mars is the agni/fire. Makara, is therefore , in general (may be in general) referred to as Smashana/crematorium as it is here where the Jeevaha leaves and the deha is burnt. As per Prasna Marga (chapter 5 stanzas 24 - 26) there is a specific chakra called as sun-moon-rahu chakra. i shall quote the passage as it is below: "It is assumed that the Sun passes through the 12 Rasis from sunrise staying 2 ghatikhas and 30 vighatikas in each in a retrograde motion beginning from Saggitarius, and passing through Scorpio, libra etc., in that order. The Moon is always assumed tto be in te 7th house from the Sun. Rahu passes through Capricorn, leo, cancer, aries, scorpio, libra, again cancer, acquarius, capricorn, libra, taurus and aries staying 2.5 ghatikas in each from sunrise. This is to be known as sun-moon-rahu chakra." In eighth chapter stanza 51, the use of this chakra is stated thus: " If rahu conjoins lagna there will be troubles from enemies and thieves; with sun death; and with moon diseases and pains all over the body." >From the above we can see that Makara is the rudra bhoomi and that Rahu begins his journey from there. It is clear from the above that rahu is capable of inflicting death and it can be termed as Rudra. Sixth indicates enemity and punishment while 11th which is sixth from sixth deals with emancipation of soul. Shodasottari dasa scheme progresses with 11 years as base(solar activity cycle of 11 years). If there is a punishment there should be a jeevaha(Guru). As per JS Guru is the cause of excess heat(Guru causes death by fire - JS 3.3.80). It is for this reason that the dasa scheme starts with Pushyami which is lorded by Guru. Sanjay has written on this scheme in his excellent book "Vimsottari and Udu Dasas" which you may refer. Sanjay if you are reading this can you kindly explain the sun-moon-rahu chakra and solar activity cycle of 11 years for the benefit of all.
