AUM GURUBYO NAMAH

Dear Rao,

Happy to note your ever growing interest in vedic astrology. As regards your

question the answer is yes. The fifth constellation occupied by the Moon in

the birth chart is called Utpanna Nakshatra. The vimsottari dasa initiated

from this constellation is called the Utpanna dasa. This is of use in Ayur

Jyotish. The four dasas viz., Janma,kshema(4th from Janma), Utpanna(5th) and

Adhana(8th) are drawn to find out similarity(if any) in the ending dates of

dasa. If the ending dates are the same in atleast two of the dasa, then ill

health, accidents, premature death etc., can be anticipated. In general the udu

dasa of 3rd, 5th and 7th nakshatra in the navatara chakra can be fatal. One

important point is that Navtara chakra is to prepared from the Moon Nakshatra

if the udu/vimsottari dasa is drawn from the lagna nakshatra and if the dasa is

to be drawn up from Moon Nakshatra then the Navtara chakra is to be prepared

from lagna nakshatra.

Please note that Utpanna, kshema and adhana dasas are always calculated on the

basis of the longitude of the Moon, even if the lagna is stronger than the

Moon.

Astrologically yours,
