Guest guest
Dear Alexandra, The groups are Shakahara(Vegetarians), Mansaahara(Non-vegetarians), Phalaahara( Fruit eaters) the later is resorted to while doning a fast, generally so they do not eat grains at that time. There are also ascetics who resort to what is known as Vaayubhakshana( which you might term as Vayu ahara), these ascetics only swallow air to attain siddhi, but they are rare. Chandrashekhar. - Alexandra Kafka Tuesday, June 10, 2003 6:41 AM [sJC: Achyuta Gurukul] food As far as I know there are in India three categories of food: sakahara, anahara, and phalahara. People of one of these groups abstain from eating grain. Are there also people who eat only raw fruit and vegetables but no cooked things? Do these people then drink milk?
