interpretations. Sometimes a graha at the beginning or end of a sign is

vargottoma or it may be within 1 degree of a yogatara (principle star) like

Spica (29"59'4) at end of Virgo. This will override the avastha weakness. So

you can't make a decision without considering these things. Mulatrikona or

exaltation is the strongest factor, more than avastha. You can treat the

avastha metaphorically.Comparing Sun strength:1. Aries 00"30'3 (Saisava)

exalted.2. Leo 14"35'36 (yuva) moolatrikona.I like to use these rules:Strong

for good or bad when exalted.Weak for good or bad when

debilitated.Exceptionally strong and always favorable in mulatrikona.Strong and

almost always favorable when in own.So I would say in this case that the Sun in

Leo is stronger. This is not based upon avastha though.Venus in virgo at

28"29"36 is debiliated. When weakened it may give inconsistent results. Shad

bala calculations use distance from exaltation position to determine
